hello thanks for this video 😁 question, do i really need to own 100 shares or can i use leaps? tia
@Netpicks1Күн бұрын
You can use leaps - "poor mans covered strangle". Buying deep ITM LEAP call option (look at high delta .8+). Sell OTM shorter term call options against the LEAP. Not something we do at Netpicks

I almost understand the time frames this really helped!! I get caught in holding too long revenge trading and I have been trading for 2 years and only lost 1200 and I’m happy paying to learn real time. I will try this time frame and the daily slow my ass down a little. Scalping is fun but not productive for me.

Actually, you are not a trader; you are just a KZbinr who earns income through subscribers and views. So, don't act like you're an expert.
@Netpicks1Ай бұрын
Well, if KZbin pays me for views and subscribers, I'm doing a horrible job of monetizing through ads on the videos (there are none)...which is how "KZbinrs" make money. :) Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

You do realize that 99.9999% of these trading "Gurus" on YT don't actually trade? There's less then 1% that actually do with real money and the rest is trading in a sim account, or just sell a sub to their discord. This is an educational vid like others out there. Take it or leave it.

I started as a customer in 2007 (Simple 2.0 trading system) and my success during the live trading rooms (yes, real account) led to a coaching gig with the company. Now, I write and make videos because I enjoy it. Trading, is boring. As you said, people can take it or leave it. Also note these videos are not monetized.

@@Netpicks1 I wasn't aiming my response at you, it was a reply back to the OP. This one popped up on my feed, and since I use EMA's for when I trade, figured, I'd check it out.

What works really good is SMA the 8-21-50-100-200 with price channels on all time frames

What about the 8ema I heard some trades makes alot from using the 8 ema with the 20 ema and 200. I think what ever the strategy works my opinion??
@Netpicks1Ай бұрын
No strategy should work/not work due to slight modifications of an indicator. 8 or 9 should have literally zero impact and really, we are not using an indicator for the final decision to pull the trigger. And yes....whatever works for a particular trader is all that matters in the end.
@matthewcaskey1051Ай бұрын
You really don't want to just use moving averages, you should combine them with another tool or two to really enhance your signals, keep in mind Momentum strategies are currently the most profitable. So RSI or MACD could be good picks, but make sure you really understand them before using them.

So the trick to mastering breakout trading is not to trade the breakout but to wait for a retest. ❤
@Netpicks1Ай бұрын
Not necessarily. The trick is to have a good idea of what sets up successful breakouts---and the basing under resistance is a good indicator of better potential.

Netpicks, you gave a decent explanation of the Anti as Linda Raschke defines it. Not all KZbinrs use the correct format as you presented. Some aren't even close, they treat it like a "red-light, green-light" indicator. That being said, of course the Anti works best on the higher time frames.
@Netpicks12 ай бұрын
Appreciate the comment. I've been trading the Anti pattern for years mostly using the downside.

By far my favorite moving average. Shows all the hidden levels if you use it exclusively with Fibonacci numbers on all time frames. It's funny a lot of times I will see some low float stock go from $2 to $7 and just stop going up for no reason on my daily chart. Well there is a reason, some super long hull moving average like 233 or 377 is coming over the top of the bar and price will magically stop at that point. Makes you wonder what's really going on the with the stock market. LOL.
@chocolatemodelsofficial58592 ай бұрын
I use it for intraday breakout trading. I use it to tell me what buyers and sellers are actually TRYING to do. Works great.
@Lonwolf.2 ай бұрын
For a scalper or intraday trader for me I found that trading breakouts are much more profitable. The risk to award in reversals sounds beautiful to catch the bottom and to ride it all the way up, but in reality you’re going to get stopped out more times because technically you’re trying to call the bottom. And you will get caught in ranges more. I think reversals are more for the Instagram traders. Most people I know making money or trading breakout, catching a quick one to one or one to two and they’re out. The higher your risk to reward the more losses you will take. Personally, who wants to lose 70% of their trades to try and catch that big winner. That’s kind of redundant.
