Hey! Did you make a video of the kitten dress? I’d love to see how it turned out!

Hiya!! Sorry to hear you've been having so many issues with the sellers. Hope they resolve soon and you get your kitchen back!

Thanks Betsy. It has been crazy! I’m hoping I hear something next week.

Welcome back! I am sorry about all the trials you've had with your beautiful home. Moving is hard enough, but to throw in bad faith actions on the part of the sellers is awful. When my small family moved last time 5 years ago, I told my husband we were never moving again, and our experience was uneventful! Looking forward to all your plans for upcoming videos. The patterns look through will be amazing, and I'm intrigued by the sewing machine repair/set up video. But no rush. Take care of yourself first. Wishing you a peaceful autumn and some much needed rest

It's beautiful! I ordered and it seemed to take forever to ship, and when I started getting concerned, I read reviews and got freaked out. I obviously should have read them first, but I was so relieved when it finally arrived!!! I bought a ton of different lace, to make fairy skirts and what I received was absolutely beautiful! I'm so excited!

Oh I’m so glad! It’s been a while since I ordered from them. Definitely pre Covid. It was faster back then. I’m happy to hear you liked your order. It’s great to have them now especially with the demise of Fabric.com Happy sewing!

You could always use the stripe on the bottom, about 4 to 6 inches. I think that would be really cute, too. Rick rack to separate. I did that with a fancy apron. Looking forward to seeing you make this.

I like her sizing much better and they are closer to ready to wear. I’m a 42” bust and I wear a med to large top...according to fabric.

I hope your fabric works for that pattern! And I agree with you about the pattern companies and not including finished garment measurements. I don't know how many times I have had to get out my soft tape measure and spend the time measuring the tissue pieces at the waistline (that seems to be the spot I worry the most about in getting the right fit) and adding up the totals to get the finished garment size. Made the mistake once of not taking out the measurements marked for darts! Only once though! Looking forward to seeing the dress completed!

I just adore the cherry oil cloth that will cover your amazing cutting table. I'm still over here cutting on the floor like a savage, like a beast. That last shot of the vintage fabrics you have made me die of happiness. :) And 9 yards of vintage rayon on the bolt!? Score. I am so sorry for the Bell's you have been experiencing. I have trigeminal neuralgia as the result of an accident and it can really be so painful. I feel for you. Coming along on my sewing area. Just got a Juki Industrial at an estate sale and so excited to try my hand at it. Much love to you!

I hope you feel better very soon! I'm a new subscriber and your videos have been keeping me company while I sew today. Must admit, I'm completely jealous of your sewing room! My sewing is squeezed into a corner of my bedroom and I have stacks of fabric in there as well as in other rooms!!

Thank you so much Gatsby Girl! I totally understand have a small space to sew. I used to work in a corner of my dining room (our current living room ) but when our cat family increased I had to find a new place to sew so we gave up our guest room bed. At least it can still have an air mattress put in if needed. Happy I could keep you company sewing today! Happy sewing! I can’t wait to get back to it!

For anyone who has not made a popover dress yet, put the pockets on before you sew the dress together.
@LivingVintageAndHandmade4 жыл бұрын
For the life of me I can’t remember how I did it. Does Gertie say to do them last? What was your experience with them?
@lilibetp4 жыл бұрын
@@LivingVintageAndHandmade yes, she puts them last and it's really frustrating getting them in the right place, then manipulating the big skirt with all four pattern pieces around so you can get them sewn on. It's MUCH easier before you sew the pieces together when there's only one piece to maneuver.
