Thanks for this video. I am looking to at one of these tractors to assist with my hay operation, lifting 4x5 round bales and running a rake. That and utility purposes and second tractor.

@@8080CD I've got mine back to the dealer to see if they can get it to turn when it's got anything in the bucket. I don't think all of them have a issue but mine certainly does

My Brother in law's (little) John Deer had no fender storage, so we just bolted a toolbox to the fender. There are some nice bolt holes on your frame if you want to mount some kind of protection for your steering arm and hydraulic hoses.

Why on earth wouldn’t a 60hp tractor be able to pull a two bottom plow? Hydro or gear…

How do you like the YT359 vs Kubota L4060? Have actually been cross shopping those two some
@jeffseverythingtv84166 ай бұрын
Well I'll tell you now the 4060 is no where near as strong as this yt 359. That being said do yourself a favor and get a 60 horse JD 4r series. I wouldn't give my 4520 power reverser jd for any Kubota or yanmar in the same class. There's so many Little things on the Kubota and yanmar that's just not well thought out or implemented . They are good reliable tractors but there not as good overall as a JD.

I pulled a 6 ft ripper the other the other day. It's got all the pulling power you need. The plow was a 2 disk JD from the 50s I believe a 472 I'm not sure on the width but the disks are probably 24"

You won't find many John Deere in the Rolling Hills of Kentucky anymore. The spider gears done killed too many guys. With Kubota Engine transmission and steering trouble, you don't see a whole lot of them now either. You see an awful lot of blue tractors out there now. And there's always a red and black ones LOL.

Thanks. I actually test drove a YT347 rental unit at my dealer. I will say that I’m very impressed with it. Got to move some dirt while I was there. The tilt steering allows for a ton of room when it’s all the way forward when entering and exiting the tractor.

Thanks for sharing. I rigged up a Cole Duplex planter to plant some corn almost 2 months ago with my father in laws Super AV. It was pieced together and did a good job. I would like to make a more stable set-up like this one, as mine would try to tilt over and depth control was a problem. This is almost like a 3 point system except that the lift chain allows it to float. I bought a Super A a few weeks later and got Farmall 200 planter that goes under the belly. Is that what you have and this system is better? Thanks, Ken
@dylanrodgers7396 Жыл бұрын
We had the belly planter. It did work and plant plenty of rows without too much headache but it wasn’t near as good as the Cole going behind the tractor

Own and used 4 or so Covington's over the years. Buy junk ones,rebuild and use, sell and repeat. Set up can be confusing but once you get the process figured out they work well. That being said your Cole set-up is crazy simple and effective. Good job!

@@tombauder8489one thing I'd recommend is get you some gauge wheels and mount them on the tool bar. The planter unit where it bolts to the tool bar now needs to be 13 inches when planting.

I use a cole planter on my 140. 1 pt hitch. If the rear wheel isn't making contact, it won't plant. My fix was to put a small tractor weight on the back of the fertilizer hopper. Worked great. No slips in the rows.
