Don't need that count in all the way through the intro. Irritating when I can easily count 4/4.

You may not need it, but for some people the syncopated rhythm can be a bit challenging to keep the time! ;-)

JT I really appreciate your tracks--they're real helpful and I've never seen anything approaching them elsewhere. I'm wondering if you could be helpful in a slightly different way. I'm trying to improve my very basic keyboard chops by trying to learn now how to comp behind vocals on piano for blues, R&B, Gospel, and similar-sounding pop songs. The piano parts in your tracks are just exactly what I want to do, but they're hard to figure out from the video. Would it be possible for you to make simple online tutorials demonstrating how to learn the piano chord voicings you use, individual Left- and Right-hand parts, tips for the Right-hand fills, and other ideas on how to play in these kinds of situations? There's a lot of tutorial videos on You Tube, but I haven't seen any like this (they all seem to be about jazz and advanced chords and such). Hope you consider doing this. Tim

Thanks for the request, Tim, glad you like the key parts! Unfortunately we don't have any time at the moment to record new videos, but we'll keep it in mind for the future!!

Nice. I've been screwing around with a secondhand mandolin lately. G major is one of the easier keys to play it in, and this style fits a mandolin rather nicely.

You might want to change "G major" to "E minor"... The actual key of the music...
@jamtrackparadiseiguitar77913 жыл бұрын
Sorry, misread "E major" for "E minor". Yeah, you're kind of right. The standard changes between the two related keys imho. For me it always sounded more like G Major because it starts there...But I'll change it in the description, thanks! :-)
