We are planning a trip for next May, we plan to stay at a Vrbo so I can cook and we can pack lunches, I’m just nervous about the weather. We are traveling with our 8 yr old. I think we will pack for all weather but pack lightly since we have a laundry room in the Vrbo and I can just wash up if we end up needing one set of clothes more than another.

I called Korean Air to see if they could help me surprise my parents trip back to korea. It was their first trip back in 23years due to immigration problems. The lady tried to upgrade them for me but as they were checked in already, she said they would need to talk to the checkin desk at the airport to cancel their checkin and help them process the upgrade. So when we got to the airport, the checkin employee said nope no upgrade. Dont matter what was told over the phone. Felt bad putting my parents on the spot like that. They didnt want to ask but I told them the lady on the call said she was gonna upgrade them before the system prevented her from doing so.

I can barely go two hours from my house , it's when I'm asleep and realize I'm not home and wake up in a full blown panic , Its awful. Flying out of the country would be impossible .

I usually also get other free upgrades: Free overweight luggage (because I paid extra for the wrong type of extra luggage), free bigger cabin bag and also quite often free second luggage. This works almost every time. I tried this for the first time when I booked my upcoming trip to Canada and every single host I contacted accepted my offer. The worst thing that can happen is they say "No", but chances are high you will save money the majority of the time. Even if they post some kind of discount for a multi-night stay, ask anyway. Everything you said is true! So rare. Buying a cover for your bag (under $20.00 very often) is also good for locating your lost bag. Always remember to also take picture of contents of bag.

I am happy sitting in the last seat in the back. Chances are my luggage gets checked in for free and I have two or one seat empty. I love it😊 People sitting at the front get to board first, but the airplane wont leave until the last group, settle in.

I’ve been upgraded several times over the years. First time was in 1989 as my newlywed wife and I were flying from Honolulu to Tokyo and they gave us business class seats. Perhaps the airlines thought we were going to be rich frequent flyers someday. I’ve since been a frequent flyer but never got rich. Oh well…

Jess, I'm in a Maui condo rental right now. Previous guests left behind a beautiful bottle of sunscreen that they didn't use. Instead of paying to check a bag both ways, you could have bought sunscreen on Maui and gifted any extra to the people who followed you. It would have saved you money, and also have been an act of kindness. Win-win!

Hi, we're coming from the uk mid April via Chicago to san Francisco where we pick up our rental car as you can imagine we're a little nervous driving opposite side of the car and road. We start our drive from san Francisco... But a little concerned getting from san Francisco just to the start of pch especially driving on the freeway for the first time! Any tips? As we're driving all the way to san Diego...so that's a lot of anxious driving 😂
