I'm referring to the two small plywood pieces; 18 x 18 x 200mm - placed in the port to reduce the port width with 36mm. The sound coming from your Altec in the Bae cab, is probably the best I've heard to date. Congratz! Sounding so spacious your're good with having "only" one spk.

Thanks for answering me👍 In the original drawing for the Silbatone dr. Bae cabinet, there's referred to two 18mm square 200mm long plywood battons put in the reflex slot to reduce the port volumen. But it appears from seeing your vid clip as if these AREN'T mounted to your cabinet. And IF that's indeed the case, I'm in no hurry to mount mine! As your bottom end and transient snap is excellent I will continue without as well. This is a great help, thanks!👍

@@hans-henrikrasmussen53yes. Those pieces seem to be missing. Personally, I use a sub woofer with my 755a speakers and I like the results. This song is very bass heavy in general.

@@jeb419 I chose NOT to fix the two specified 18x18x200mm battens permanently to either side of the reflex slot in the Silbatone cabs. Knowing my Silbatones would be the future testbed for my large collection of premium 8" fullrange drivers. Besides knowing the reflex slots were designed specifically for the WE 755a. Before these cabs I designed RiPole subs to mate perfectly with my 755a in my home grown Reso cabs, because my pair has the dreaded dried up surrounds, which exclude running them solo all on their ownsome lonesome. But wanting to run 8" FRs w/o any help, my 755a were still all too bass light. My 755Cs have the bottom end but are being eclipsed by my 1.gen. white cone JBL LE8s. As are all the usual suspects normally being connected to these cabs. Hard to say if the JBLs would've been trounced well and good by a mint WE 755a pair? Maybe - maybe not. The LE8 sounding that fullrange the combination Silbatone/LE8 possess none of the shortcomings and penalties of running a single fullrange drivers. Performing as broadband you'd expect from a prima standmount 2-way, but with all the fullrange drivers strong points intact and none of its shortcomings.

Yes. My turntable is connected to an M2TECH Joplin ADC, which outputs a Toslink signal to the powerDAC.

Suggérerait : 1. Sur les 4 côtés du boîtier - couvercle, fond et des deux côtés chacun 40mm MPX double pour chanfreins 40 mm x 45° 2. Décalage horizontal du conducteur env. 8-9 mm du centre 2. Le 755A n'est pas adapté à tous types de musique. Les baffle plan, du moins dans ma configuration, sont limités dans les basses, mais offrent une resolution quasiment au niveau des Altec, avec une plage de fréquence plus étendue. Je vais voir en 2024 comment améliorer les baffle plan...

Hello, I am looking more and more at the ECdesigns brand for my next DAC. (currently I'm at Chord) but user testing information is still quite rare. did you go with the SX with a UT96 or UT192 for the conversion? Thank you in advance for your feedback and information on this DAC

With the SX it does not really matter what source you use, it will all sound good. I usually just use a WiiM Pro (Toslink out)

It is a completely new crossover. I have only changed one speaker, will post some "stereo" videos as soon as I have completed the second speaker
