46:25 These men reject Aristotle's belief that, "democracy can only function in a homogeneous ethnic context and outside of that is inherently unstable." Except that over 2000 years of world history since, has proved him right. Americans want to have maximized liberty and also an ethnic and racial diverse country? The two things are mutually exclusive. The history of America is ethnic conflict which accelerated since immigration was opened up to the third world. We have piles of civil rights laws regulating the interaction between the different racial and ethnic groups because it is patently obvious that these groups cannot live in liberty among each other. Do you want to live in a diverse nation like Singapore? Then you want to live in a police state.

The Scriptures that Christians use to promote a color blind nation is misguided. Bible is clear that Greek and Jew and male and female are equal in Christ but not necessarily equal outside of Christ. When we are talking about national identity we are talking about race and ethnicity outside of the church in a political context. Brothers and sisters within the church are equal but Doug and Joe extrapolate that to unbelievers which is not what the Bible teaches.
@virtualpilgrim8645Күн бұрын
As a Bible believing evangelical Protestant Christian, I find this controversy interesting, because 12 years ago I became white race conscious due to the fact that white people in America will become a minority in 15 years. The accusations of racism or kinism is a false framing of the situation. My views are not anti anything, but a positive affirmation of our American national identity. All Nations are defined by race and ethnicity and America is defined by White Anglo-Saxon Protestantism. Maintaining a demographic homogeneous people is simply maintaining the ethnos of your nation. There's nothing racist about it. It is merely definitional.

The declaration was poorly thought of, shouldnt have even been written, and really isnt much of a "declaration" given it only has a dozen or so names unlike the Statement on Social justice and the gospel, the Nashville statement, or the Danvers statement. Doug's still tremendous, he just needs to go back to the "No Quarter November" mindset.

43:00 True we don't get new bodies here when we are 'reborn' spiritually, but we will have new bodies when we get to heaven. So if our bodies which get injured and worn out get replaced, why wouldn't the earth also?
@puddymaws5 күн бұрын
@ 42:00 Are you referring to Genesis 9:11? All the translations I've seen specify that God said flood. Also Genesis 8:22 says "While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” The phrase "while it remains" seems to imply that it won't always remain. Thoughts?

The ordinary Christians have no idea what anti-PWC is or how bad its attendant ideas are, so they’re just confused. Meanwhile, most of those in the “know” don’t seem to think that racism actually is a sin, so they’re biased toward anyone supporting anti-PWC

If they can clarify that they don’t actually think racism is bad, that would be great. But from what I can see, many (perhaps not all) of the anti-PWC guys want some form of kinism. Maybe I’m wrong, but it appears to be a resurgence of that

The comments toward the end are brilliant and apply very much to the state of Christian churches today. Kirkiguard was right - what happens in must churches and the institutional church model are like hospitals that administer poison and indeed there is little or few that experience genuine transformation and authentic Christian living. I guess that shows that the churches today are mostly filled with goats as opposed to sheep. So somehow the church has a form of godliness but lacks its true transformative and unapologetic power. Yes - that is the case today and I struggle to see how the institutional church that is in place today can ever recover to counter this decay. I presume there will only be almost a remnant xhirchbidbrenegades that actually are the sheep who hear God’s voice and are there sheep of his pasture. And all these other false Christian’s will one day stand before rhe Lord in judgement and try to defend themselves by saying “lord, lord - didn’t we do this and that in your name?! And he will speak plainly and say - depart from me - I never knew you and you never knew me. In other words - in addition to the masses being lost, there is also a large portion of the professing Christian’s they aren’t saved at all. They are hirelings and false believers and they will be revealed as goats among the sheep . Mits time for us wax individually to be the sheep . Be the ones that actually hear his voice.

In a different comment I shared my thoughts on the cowardly deception that others attempted when they criticized Aaron for his tone. But I do think there is a larger more fundamental issue that people in church leadership still somehow don’t seem to grasp. All they Aaron said is true about what has been done to society and the church, and how deliberately divisive th e the LGBT issue has become . Satan does know that a house divided cannot stand and so he has effectively divided most Christian denominations. Here is where the church somehow messed things up: A couple of decades ago when the LGBT issue was still small and fringe - the church allowed the discussion move quickly to a false Hegelian dielectric . The two viewpoints posed to the masses are either lgbt should be accepted or it is a raging sin worse than most others. When what the church really somehow is not good at saying is simply: Sin is not an arbitrary list of don’ts from a God they is holding out some great pleasure or joy from his people. Sin is not really even a forced commandment - our free will allows us to choose whether we will agree and trust and follow God’s ways - or not. Why is sin always held up as something harsh from a mean god? When in reality what scripture describes and commands as sin are really loving protections that the Lord tells us out of his love for us. Doesn’t this deliverybshowing God’s genuine love and care for us make all the difference? Doesn’t that change the completion of all things in the Bible if we really trusted and believed that God is our loving father who tells us these things for our own good - not his. If the church explained sin this way I think it would disarm a lot of anger and mistrust. A car manufacturer publishes its printed car manual and includes it with the car. Why? To hold back and encourage the car buyer to have a lousy or less good experience with the car? It is the manual written by the design engineers intended to help you enjoy and use safety and get the most miles possible out of the car. And when that manual tells you what grade of oil or gasoline is it from a mean engineer who doesn’t want you to experience the thrill of putting things like kerosene into the gas tank. Is that an unkind engineer? Of course not. So then why is God marginalized or mistrusted or disobeyed when we should know he has our best interest at heart all the time. That concept has never been that simply explained in all my 58 years of life in a range of churches. If the disaster of the prohibition of the LGBT lifestyle were properly explained like that. - wouldn’t they be speaking the truth in love. ?!

Interesting, that you term this "God applying the brakes...". When I first hear that Trump was running for the 2016 nomination, I was reading in II Kings 9 that morning and it immediately struck me that God was raising up another Jehu to put the brakes on the accelerating Apostasy that had the "Nitrous Oxide" button hit during the Obama (Ahab) administration and would have gone into hyperdrive under a Hillary (Jezebel) administration! First thing that Trump said at his 2016 inaugural address was that he was there to clean out the "Swamp" aka Baal worships and its effects. Of course, Israel didn't repent, and God's judgement still came. When the Enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord raises up a Banner against him! Yet, of course apart from Revival, the great Apostasy will continue to a great judgement by God.

As a postmillennial theonomist who values scholarly discourse, maybe i’m naive but I’m not aware of a significant concern of Kininism, antisemitism and racism within the Reformed movement. Sorry, but these roughshod podcasts and poorly written declarations leads to confusion and fails to address the core issues if it is even a major concern. The Need for Scholarly Examination A comprehensive, scholarly analysis is essential to thoroughly document and understand the concerns surrounding Kinism, antisemitism and racism in Reformed circles. Such an examination would provide clarity on the extent of these issues and identify any individuals or groups promoting these ideologies. This approach would move beyond anecdotal evidence and offer a well-researched foundation for addressing the problem. Evaluating Specific Allegations Regarding Pastor Joel Webbon, it’s important to assess allegations with a commitment to fairness and adherence to biblical standards. Scripture calls for the establishment of facts by two or three witnesses before accepting accusations, as outlined in Deuteronomy 19:15 and reiterated in Matthew 18:16. This principle ensures that any claims are substantiated and not based on isolated incidents or hearsay. I don’t find that Tobias Riemenschneider’s has reached this threshold for his allegations. As far as he has presented there has been only one witness. Addressing the Broader Issue While individual cases are significant, it’s crucial to determine whether Kinism, antisemitism and racist ideologies represent a widespread problem within the Reformed movement or are confined to fringe elements. A scholarly approach would help in distinguishing between systemic issues and isolated cases, enabling the community to respond appropriately. Conclusion In summary, addressing concerns about Kinism, antisemitism and racism within the Reformed movement requires a methodical and scholarly approach. This involves thoroughly documenting issues, substantiating allegations with credible evidence, and discerning the actual scope of the problem. Such diligence ensures that responses are just, effective, and uphold the integrity of the Reformed tradition.

I got up to 11:57. It seemed there had been events after the portion they were speaking about, so I checked the dates. This was posted 11/26. I just finished Pastor Tobias's, "Liar and Slanderer?" which was posted 11/27. Yesterday, I heard Pastor James White's take on it, "Tobias Speaks, So Finally, So Can I", which was posted 11/28. I think at this point, I do have the most current information. I was staying away from this mess. But since several channels I watch kept mentioning it, I could no longer ignore it. My problem has been that I have been locked out of Xitter for 2 1/2 years. So I had not been following this. And every time I started to watch a video, there was no recap/background. It was like coming into a conversation in the middle. There was no point even continuing to listen because I didn't know most of what was being discussed. Now, from those two long videos, I do know. The whole thing has been shocking. For a long time, I thought I was imagining the current rise of Jew hatred among professing Christians. I removed myself from Gab some time ago because of such comments. I thought I was imagining things. How horrifying to learn that I was not.

I love how every one of these Anti-Tobias clowns have been proven utterly wrong and slanderous themselves by the releasing of both of Tobias' responses and the full recording of the Zoom call, but none of them have the balls to own up to their flagrant sins. I think this whole ordeal has truly been providential in revealing the racist and cancerous wolves in our midst that need to be taken out back and horse-whipped lol Joel has spun a false narrative for a straight month, and all his cronies screeed from the rooftops against not only Tobias, but also mighty men of God and titans of the faith, but if they had simply used Biblical wisdom and applied cross examination, then they could have saved themselves the embarrassment of looking like complete asses.

@jamescook561715 күн бұрын
Come on. Doug Wilson and James White both made public statements about this controversy without naming Joel explicitly. If those comments were not about Joel but some other mysterious meme-allowing pastor then why hasn't DW and JW explained this as to make it clear that this claim that the first they're hearing of the controversy was Joel's video on the matter. So, you wrote a blog critical of Joel on the matter, and JW threatened to "name names" (both of these before Joel's video on the Tobias call), but you didn't know about it before Joel's video ? Don't believe the gas lighting here folks. Surely both DW and JW knew about the Tobias controversy before Joel's video.

Interesting how this Antioch Declaration pounds the drum of Neo Nazism and Antisemitism, but blatantly ignores the evil/sinful/racist influence of the late pseudo theologian James Hal Cone, & his Black Liberation theology, within too many (White and Black) American churches. I have personally been on the receiving end and experienced anti-White racism from a well-known former SBC Black pastor. Not that that automatically makes anti-White racism a problem in American churches, but my personal experience definitely supports the idea that James Hal Cones Black Liberation theology (and guys like Eric Mason) has made a major negative impact within the American church that also resonates in our American politics, economy, public school systems, businesses, entertainment and sports industry, etc. Point being- White Europeans are not the only race/cultural/ethnicity that struggles with the sin of racism. It is in every race/culture/ethnicity, so address all of it.
