Fantastic overview/review. One thing I'd add is that the X also gets Trail control instead of downhill assist. Basically it's cruise control for off road. Other variants only get the down hill assist meaning that it only controls speed when going down a mountain. This feature is only available on the X and raptor (unsure about the Tremor, but wouldn't be surprising is it also has this) Tldr, it gives the driver the ability to just concentrate on getting the right driving lines when offroading since this mode takes care of throttle control.

Thank you for the review- I would appreciate your personal opinion please. we are looking at this type of Car - but seeing the review and the price tag - I personally do not think it is good value for money and so the 70+K price tag is just not justified for what you get. So my question is this: If you had to buy a new Car yourself, ( thinking that you would know what you would buy if you where looking at this type of Car) that is much better value and has similar specs, has a proven track record in regards to reliability, fuel efficiency and 4x4 off road capabilities. Ideally it should offer a greater (or better payload) and taking into consideration today's technology with a interior more modern designs. Note. We would be using this Car also for towing an older style 23 foot Semi Off Road Caravan- should this fact influence your recommendation. I am hoping you could provide some advise on our options 🙏 Again enjoyed the way you did the review- show and concise and to the point 👏 Good work mate. Cheers Jim PS: A more budget friendly option would be welcomed 🥴😉

I love the look of this, but the same old motor with a heavier car now = even less gutless power. I get why they did not put a bigger motor in it as it would take sales away from the 300 but still, what a crap motor for this kind of coin. Then throw a caravan on and its a slug. Dunno, sitting on the fence on this one, and the Everest seems like a better all round deal considering the price difference, not getting caught up in the fanboi hysteria.

Less payload than the previous model and reduced performance due to extra weight. No mention of the ridiculous impost of AdBlue that when towing will require many refills on a long trip? On a recent trip stopped at the Ampol on the Hume FWY about 45 mins on the way to Melbourne. Asked if they had AdBlue, the attendant said that he thought there was a tin on the shelves. Good Luck Toyota.

@@shaun1900 Many dealers are experiencing cancellations. The value of the 150 went up as the reduced load and performance characteristics of the new vehicle became known. There is always a spike in orders for any new car given advertising hype etc. The issue of AdBlue has gone under the radar by almost all vehicle reviews. Why didn't they put that 48V system under the second row of seats, like they did in the Land Rover Defender and Disco? Those vehicles have flat load floors and the way they compensate is they don't allow the base of the 2nd row to fold forwards. As an owner of a Disco 5 I've never missed the seat base not folding. LR also have a sliding rail on their 2nd row. Seems like a very dodgy design effort on Toyota's part by comparison. And they had 15 years to get this right!!! WTF?
@TheAutoReviewNB16 күн бұрын
@@darrenprior6339 I’m pretty sure in 1-2 years they’ll probably fix that. The US spec Land cruisers have a different engine & hybrid setup so I think that will eventually come to AUS, also with a better boot packaging.
