Fuck me.... I can't imagine how you folks felt as more and more of that wall came away but I was feeling pretty sick to my stomach watching it but I suppose it needs dug out and rebuilt for your safety. It's great to see that even after all that you still managed to mess around and get a laugh in between Mick's strops 😉🤣🤣

For future reference: use more lime, don't overwork it until dry(er) and/ most importantly don't try too much in one go. Multiple thinner layers will get you further. Keep smiling!

@@techmarine83 I'm afraid the music is royalty free, this video was just a recap of our first year in France so the music is a little more dominant. In our following 30+ videos we document things a little more closely so the music is only there when there is no talking, or if we have had to speed up footage. Honestly sometimes the music is better than the sound of the drum mixer or hammer drill! Thanks for the feedback!

Fuxakes what an into,,, you good folks have some major sized rock eating mice chewing big holes in your walls 🤣 That's a heartbreaking amount of work and a hell of an undertaking, yet it seems the absolute right thing to do for the house. Pete playing the woe is me sympathy card cos he's gotta shift a couple of small bags, not like him at all is it 😉😂 pisstake aside you guys are making a serious amount of hard physical graft look easy, credit to you!

Well that escalated bloody quickly, to goes from Pete tearing out horrible modern brickwork to Mick blowing a hole in the wall then then digging a cellar entrance to fill it all in again. It's actually called "pierre apparente" as in the stones are partially showing. It's much easier to scratch it back when the mix isn't too dry and use a large wet sponge, you don't get the wire brush lines showing.

This was a good video, Pete had loads of fun with that BFH, then Mick tried to ruin it by lifting the stairs out of the house by himself 😂 That brickwork under the stairs looks dire right enough

Laughing at Pete handing Daisy the hot bit, I did that to my wife years ago with almost the exact same result 😂😂 Can't beat a bit of guy humour, just a shame that women folks don't find some things as funny as we do. Mick is nuts going down that rubble pile for a shovel, bloody lucky Amanda wasn't there or breaking his neck would have been the least of his worries.

Missed Pete, hope he's ok (not looking for info, it's a rhetorical question) won't be long till that floor is laid and you're all onto the next phase of the project. Now because Im a shameless nosey f'ker, will you be renovating the main house and other buildings after this one or is it only this one that needed all the work?

@@scottsorby7966 haha! The ladies had been busy decorating a room in the main house as a little side project (it's just nice to have something thay feels finished!). Pete popped back to the UK for a couple of weeks but will return shortly. Not nosey at all, the plan is to finish the house, get it up and running, then the barn roof is in need of attention so that will be next. The main house is livable but dated and needs renovating (pink bathrooms are still on trend though right?). We also have plans for the grounds which extend behind the main house, but they are in what feels like the far future! Glad you are back and hope you enjoyed having some content to catch up on!

It really is no wonder these old houses last for hundreds of years when you see the thickness of the timber they used compared to the matchsticks used today. and it's been great watching Pete working and learning from Mick, the banter is brilliant and the progress is incredible, then we get to poor Daisy on the stairs and Im starting to believe you all torture her for fun.. not that theres anything at all wrong with that 😂😂😂😂 Stay safe folks, see you all next week
