This is cool, thanks for the video. Isn’t the ring spacing a bit inconsistent? Feels like you could get a really high precision spacing with the use of a ruler or a cutout.

Hi there! Thanks for posting. Two questions. 1. I'm thinking of using paint pens for a program. Will the rocks mess up the paint pens if multiple kids use them several times over? Or will they be fine? 2. Do the rocks need to have a sealer? Or do you think they would be ✨okay✨ without?

🤣 OMG thanks for the reminder that I have half-done ladybugs sitting around somewhere! I got as far as spray painting backgrounds and doing the black area for the face. They still need "giant pupils", antenna and dots. ❤ Yours are so super cute! I'm trying to overcome my super procrastinating overthinking tendencies by reminding myself that "DONE is Better than Perfect" (mentioned in a Life of Riza video I saw yesterday). Thanks again for sharing everything rock painting. I love your videos 😊

@RockPainting1016 күн бұрын
I seal all my rocks before giving them away. There are spray sealers, brush on sealers, and resin. I have some suggestions on those here - rockpainting101.com/best-sealer-painted-rocks/ as far as applying the sealer I have quite a few tips for that. If you decide to go with a spray on head here - rockpainting101.com/how-to-seal-painted-rocks/ if you decide to go with a brush on here is some tips - rockpainting101.com/brush-on-sealer/ if you want to go with resin here is a tutorial with that - rockpainting101.com/resin-painted-rocks/

I would practice on other surfaces a bit first... I'm not sure how it will adhere to fur. It may effect how the paint lays down.

What is a “pip”. Didn’t understand what you were saying. Something about this pip helping to align the spacing. Please advise

I don't think they sell them anymore... it was a leather template that you could place dots with to draw lines before doing your mandalas. I know Happy Dotting Company has some templates on Etsy if you are interested - tidd.ly/bb5e96f6

What would you recommend for a beginners kit per say. Like paint or markers, gesso, sealer, paint brushes. If you could help with this, that would be great. I love your ideas and style. I watch rock Ossining all of the time, but I'm afraid to start.
@RockPainting10117 күн бұрын
It really depends on what style of rocks you want to paint :) You can do paint markers right onto rocks and then seal them if you want to get the least amount of supplies...

Me over here almost done painting this rock and wondering what a base coat was…..and also wondering why I needed to hurry and do a bunch at once. I’m trying to lower my blood pressure…if I tried to do tons at once I would stress 😂. Slow and steady wins the race ❤

When choosing colors, is there any rhyme or reason as to what order to use?
@RockPainting101Ай бұрын
You can look up color theory online to learn a bit about it. I did take some art classes so I know some basics from that. But, really just find a pallet you like!
