I believe it was the reverse. Distortion was seen as bad and it still is in some genres such as jazz and early country music. The reason there are 100W tube amps is not to get louder (it's only twice as loud as a 10W amp), but to stay cleaner at higher volumes. Solid state doesn't break up at any volume (although speakers will break up if they aren't rated for the volume).

If you were to ask chair fans what’s their best album I can guarantee you 80% will say frogstomp. After listening to all their albums and being a fan for sometime I think diorama is my favourite, I also think it was when they were at their peak. I’ve never heard anything like this album ever, there’s just something so special about it. This is my favourite album ❤️thank you silverchair

I think there is so much A.I music brings to the table, for example i absolutely love to write. (Im not in a band) And i love to put songs together, i am not good enough to play the instruments in the style i like that would take 10+ years, but i love writing and putting the songs together. Im also the type of person where i want zero fame or popularity
