Ironically, the same topographical wonder that gifts us with a waterfall in the middle of a desert that seemingly emerged as if it were part of a fantasticy novel. a richly imagined tapestry of world building magic...Also gifts us with flash floods.

It can be a mixed blessing. But most of the time, it is a lovely thing to see in our dry, thirsty desert! The water feeds the earth and refreshes the animals and people in the area!
