You need to white balance the final image after merging the three pictures. The three physical color filters do not cut light at the same rate, so when you recombine, white balance is off That's also why the digital "filters" work better

Great review !!! So I just got my mini evo and saw so many great reviews on it but honestly not having such a good time with it… since most of my pictures are coming out quite bad…. The quality of faces seems very blurry and I’m comparing it to my mini 8 and my mini 8 quality is way better yet older… I did not expect that. I bought it bc I thought it would be an upgrade from my mini 8…. But boy was I wrong….

It was using my back drive to use apples time machine that caused all those photos to go boom. I didn't realize that apple would format the entire drive to use it..... BOOM! Sadface! Something to be aware of.

Wait whaaaat? Cloudspot runs your images through jpegmini?? what if I've already reduced my file size when exporting from lightroom, it's going to reduce them again? Can this be turned off?? I don't like the idea of not having control over that.

Random question. Coming from somebody who growing up didn't wear glasses but now do. How do you best seal out light when shooting? Since i have adopted glasses, i have noticed many odd things i have had to change around or can no longer use effectively.

So I took my drone 2 miles out I lost connection , it started speaking in that "I AM VICKI voice" about returning to home, that thing came back almost as high as the clouds I almost shyt myself !!! but it landed fine and everything 😱

Personally, As a low quantity and safety required I have 2 sd cards: the one I am using and the one I will use when the previous one dies. 256 GB cards generally are very cheap unless you want a high V classification. The only reason I could see to have more than 1 sd card is when you want to separate media you take with different groups (like say one group for pictures with family and another group for your Instagram or travels or food or something else). It is a massive pain to work thou 2000+ pictures when you need to separate them and drop them into different groups. (Thou camera software does quite well here by at least splitting into different days).

I always deleted the Raw after a while of delivering, basically when I needed more space, but I always had the occasional hidden folder with old raw and re-editing certain photos with today's knowledge (and what the software is improving as well ) It is incredible the new shine that one can bring out of old photos. But it's also true that you never have much time to go back, so what I'm doing lately, once I finish handing in a piece of work, I only keep the best best photos. If I gave 100, I'll keep about 20 to 30 per event, for posterity. But more than a matter of space (that when one starts to get fully into video, the raw space is minimal), it is a matter of time, that if I go back again, I won't start reviewing one by one. one from scratch.

Raymond, Your camera and computer has to have a UHS II slot to take advantage of the card’s speed capability. A UHS II card has a second row of connectors on the back to get this higher transfer speeds. If your camera and/or computer does not have this second row of connectors, you will not be able achieve the max speeds of the card.

Hi. Thanks to your video I purchased 100g on Cloud spot. I had great difficulty understanding the watermarking. Now I deleted the two gallaries I set up for clients, and they say I used all my space, with not one picture up! How can that be? Thanks.

This is 5 years old, hopefully your Drobo still works. Bear in mind the following flaws. The Drobo is constanly trying to push the drive out. This mean that the drive is never fully pushed in adding to the contact's oxidation problem. Sooner or later it will fail just by moving the unit or just vibration. You may delay the PROBLEM by using Stabilant 22 when insgtalling the drive. Notice that all other makers use a tray that is pushed in, and under pushed in pressure. The Drobo reverses that. Just a little memo.

Unfortunately the drobo has died. I never had a problem with the drives failing but something related to the power inside did. I bought a second 5d3 and about 2 months later it failed from the same problem. No more drobos for me.

I agree, especially for printing purposes!! I want to keep them, but I only have about 20 gigs of space right now until I order a high capacity SSD, so I'm left to delete them if I want to keep editing and practicing D:

The Acer Spin 514 looks to be a great option for photo editing.

What about Polarr? It was made for Chromebooks and includes RAW editing. It probably isn't as resource-intensive as Lightroom and wasn't built for touch like an Android app.

I have not tried Polarr. If I was just starting out I might consider it but I value the flexibility of switching between multiple devices and Lightroom does that the best. Have you tried Polarr? What are your thoughts?

Mike love your content, very helpful. I am a sports photographer and need a better way to sell my photos. My contracted clients are not an issue, but I found that if I just show up at a game or tournaments and parents see me with my camera, I usually make 300 to 400 dollars from random parents who ask to purchase the photos. I would like to find a platform that would allow me to let the parents know to just go on their and buy whatever photo they want. Currently I tell the parents to follow me on Instagram and when they see one of their game photos, they can direct message me and I will send them the photos and they can PayPal me. I feel I'm missing out, especially with the passive income. I would like to tell parents to go to Cloud Spot or a platform and purchase the photos. I don't want to have to collect and send lots of emails out to parents to look at what photos I took. Any suggestions. Thank You

Create a gallery in CloudSpot for the event before you show up and shoot it. Make sure you enable email capture, and upload a photo that says something to the effect of "Photos will be ready 24 hours after the event, come back to view your photos then". Create a QR code with that points to the CS gallery, print out small copies and staple them to a business card and hand them out at the event. Parents will scan and then be taken to the gallery, they will enter in their email address, they will see a photo that says when images will be ready (pro tip include a small gallery of your best work and title it something like "The types of images you can look forward to for your child"). When the photos are ready, upload them to your CS gallery and then in CS you can send an email to everyone who has registered for that gallery letting them know their childs photos are ready. I hope that helps!
