I did that challenge both the first and second year.

Watching this takes me back, I remember being at that assembly and going ‘wtf is this even about, like are you presenting your app or something. This “motivational” speech is indistinguishable from any other I can watch online. ’ All I remember is that the guy used to work at Go-Pro and then he quit to do this thing, and I’m like ‘ok’. I heard that he got into an argument with Gil, don’t remember if it was after the assembly or after this video, either way, very insecure if he got offended by a parody or a disagreement. Then Gil had shirts made and sold them, I remember seeing some kids wearing them and #bekahs became like a joke amongst the school, like I remember some stickers plastered around. I remember Gil, he was my AV Production teacher for like 2 years. I had no involvement with this because this was done by his older students with more experience, I was just starting out I think, the only real “appearance” I had was when Gil had to shoot for the KAHS news, but it was during class, so we basically became a live studio audience, something I would not shut up about to my friends. Watching the old classroom makes me feel nostalgic, like I can remember sitting at the desk and either doing class work, just watching KZbin, or failing at ping pong.

She was also the faculty sponsor of Student Council for several years (e.g., the photo of her with Jason Boatwright, I think). She is a wonderful combination of supportive and no-nonsense. She's a gem of a person and decades of former students will reap the benefits of her influence for decades yet to come.

I actually had a speech teacher do something like that in high school. I was doing the presentation. He postponed it twice, and then when I actually got to do it, he slouched down in his seat and told me that he didn't have time for this. I about died! I said well, will you have time to grade this? Cuz I kind of earned it. Come to think of it, I've had that happen more than once, and I was an honor student.

Thank you so much for the entertainment of this video. The guy seems like a wantrepreneur instead of an entrepreneur on shark tank. Watched one of his inspirational videos and it was very cheesy. Really dislike educational tech based start ups because they need a lot of funding versos low demand. Really like the multi-sided platform approach but the guy does come off as a prick.

And if you watch the youtube videos he put up and disabled the comments just shows that he doesn't have the balls to read real people telling him he's annoying.... #besomebody videos are better with the volume off

This is seriously well done! Just saw the company pitch on Shark Tank and what a disaster it is. #BeSomebody founder Kash Shaikh was so insecure he and the company's content manager got offended by a high school mocking them. I wonder how they will handle nationwide mockery now that their founder showed off their dumpster fire of a business model.
