I’m in college rn, where we’re doing a 24 hour musical of the little mermaid and this song decided to pop in my head. And now I’m trying to get it out. Not because I don’t love it, because I do, but because Fun Home is really not the vibe I need for the little mermaid 😂😅😭😭

Absolutely spectacular song & performance! Finding out there was a musical theatre song about a young girl looking up to a butch lesbian and feeling seen made me emotional enough to fall in love with musical theatre all over again, but this young lady's live performance of it made it that much more moving! Bravo all the way around!

She was roughly eleven or twelve when she did this. This beautiful, amazing performance. Her understanding of acting and her character would be remarkable at any age, especially at eleven. Well done, Sydney. Well done.
