I remeber buying and enjoying several of these issues when I was a kid, so it brought back a lot of memories when I read this (I reviewed Vol 2 on my channel). One thing that was disappointing, though, is that while they printed a short bio of almost all the writers and artists, they left out Bob Oksner, who, between his Captain Marvel and Mary Marvel stories, drew more stories than CC Beck in this series, many covers, and a lot of the figures on the covers of these books. He is actually a pretty significant figure in comic book history, and I wonder why they left him out.

@@natdaddycollectibles5016 Yup! You can tell his figures on the cover because they have a slightly thicker line than the Beck and Schaffenberger figures.

@@natdaddycollectibles5016 Yup! Those figures on the inside cover you thought were CC Beck pictures? That's Oksner! You can tell because his lines are a bit thicker and the hands are different.

He is not known as Shazam anymore either since the new Shazam series written by Mark Waid has started he is now called simply the Captain & now has his classic costume back!!!!
