Don't tell me Roger McGuinn wasn't influenced by this use of a Rickenbacker.

I've just added this track to the groundbreaking Retro Charts Radio which features every UK Top 40 hit from the 20th century on elimination random with a 6 week no repeat policy and no adverts! This track only reached No.41 but we're adding No.41s and 42s with more to come! :)

"Love Potion No. 9" is a song written in 1959 by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. It was originally performed by the Clovers, who took it to No. 23 on the US as well as R&B charts that year. The Searchers recorded it in 1964 and reached No.3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on Cash Box during the winter of 1965 / The Searchers are an English group who flourished during the British Invasion of the 1960s.. The Searchers tied for being the second group from Liverpool, after the Beatles, to have a hit in the US when their "Needles and Pins" and"Hippy Hippy Shake" both reached the Hot 100 on 7 March 1964.

I'm 70, also love much of this stuff, but don't throw a thrombie when I say this. Never cared for more than about six Beatles songs and absolutely HATED Lennon. What a socialist, hippie, Dylan type globalist HE was. He'd be sponsoring all Gretta Thunbergs crap and shouting his mouth off in his nasal crappy accent like DeNiro and Afleck.

This is the first concert DVD I ever bought back in the day. It is simply timeless. When I saw "Go Your Own Way" for the first time with LB's seemingly-effortless guitar solo and Mick's bass drums just kicking me in the chest here on my (at the time) brand new home theater with a 120" projection system and my 7-channel Bose audio cranked up to 11, this performance just sent chills down my spine. I have since purchased over 50 concert films, but this one always remains in my top 5 favorites. Well done band, producers, and crew. Well done.
