Just a heads up… did you know you can edit the colour key? May be easier to assign 310 to the symbols you want it on and 3799 fr those assigned symbols, plus it would show that colour once marked off too. Just a thought! Love your gamer, I am currently working on her too! 😊

Really enjoy stitch with me when people talk. Don't like it when it music etc. I am quite excited to see you stitch on this piece. One-off my favourites, I have just passed 80,000 stitches on mine. I finished the border colour first, I think colour 12. Now I just float about and stitch what I fancy. Finished the face and most of the banner, now working on the keyboard.

I enjoy the Omanik scroll frames but they are heavy so they will only work on your Lowry if you buy the wooden support part for your Lowry that will hold the weight of a long enough Omanik frame to fit your fabric. Also I noticed you are getting lines running up and down from you stitching down a column. You need to feather into the next column in order to avoid those lines. Column lines do not wash out so when you are done with your project and you wash and iron it and stretch it , the lines will show after you frame it-even if you get a professional to frame it. There are lots of KZbin videos showing how to feather in case you don’t know what that is.
@stitchy_af5265 Жыл бұрын
Thank you, i will look into the Omanik scroll frame. I do have a wooden support for my Lowry stand so that is good to know. I did notice the line as I was stitching when recording and will look into changing up my stitching a bit to avoid this moving forward. I did use to feather but was changing stitching styles to try the royal rows. This is the first section i have noticed the line since changing, so definitely something I will be more aware of moving forward.

@@stitchy_af5265 i stitch doing 10x10 diagonal blocks and I've not had any grid lines...but tha doesn't mean it couldn't happen. Im stitching Mr and Mrs Cardinal by TCSS if you would like to see what im talking about. Teresa Little Stitcher as a tutorial on it. But Clara is right, feather helps keep grid lines away the best 😊
@stitchy_af5265 Жыл бұрын
I have looked at my project again last night and the lines are in the solid background so I think i will try to feather in that area. I cannot see lines where the colours change over more frequently. I originally started this project using the 10x10 diagonal method, before trying a kind of feathered diagonal method.
@jodeewalker6536 Жыл бұрын
@@stitchy_af5265if your enjoying royal rows then that is parking under your 2 blocks of 10x10 and if no symbol is underneath, they use a waste thread to the right of the 10x10 blocks (which they call towers) and end the thread. I believe that ending to the right side is why most people are not getting grid lines
@claraarellano1867 Жыл бұрын
@@stitchy_af5265 Yes, I did see it in the background stitching. I would hate for that beautiful piece to have lines showing because it’s a very expensive kit and you’ll have put so much time into it.

I have looked at the corner clamp and worried that it might not hold the weight. What is the biggest frame you have used with it?

Do you use a scroll frame? If so how do you load your fabric on the scroll frame? My fabric is bigger than my scroll frame. I can't get my fabric taut.
@stitchy_af5265 Жыл бұрын
No I don't use a scroll frame for the same reason you mentioned above. When I have tried previously I could never get the right tension. I use a qsnap and it is my favourite frame to stitch with.

I didn’t notice it before, but have to agree that the wider view looks better. We can still see all of the detail in your current tower (or at least I can on my 58” tv ❤), and also see more of the project. I had to laugh when you described the things that Bear has chosen to destroy. He reminds me of our Newfoundland mix puppy. We thought he was eating his dog house, but he was really only expanding the doorway. As soon as he was satisfied with it, he moved on to another project. If I’m recalling correctly, he pulled off the wood shake shingles, making it easier for him to sit on top of it, like Snoopy. 😂

Thanks for another fun SWM, and especially for talking through your thoughts on Royal Rows. Is it safe to say that you’re stitching all of the towers in your current frame, before moving your Q Snap? That seems the logical way to approach it if you’re not using a scroll frame. I love kid and pet stories, and even Benny’s interruptions were cute, at least from where I’m sitting. 😂 My 4 grandsons are all teens or young adults, and believe me when I say that the drama doesn’t go away, only the subject changes. You’re good for my stitching speed. I’ve stitched 1500 stitches yesterday and today, while watching your videos, and today is only half over. And just as you finished this video’s tower, I finished a diagonal and get to move my Q Snap! 🎉 I’m looking forward to the next one. ❤
@stitchy_af5265 Жыл бұрын
I did move my Q Snap once to use a smaller Q Snap which is why in this video my towers stopped about 2/3s of the way to the edge but I will now just work the towers in the frame before moving it again. That's great progress, I'm glad I could entertain you while you made it. Its satisfying to finish a diagonal or tower. It feels like a small win while waiting for the bigger page finishes.

I think I just didn't buy a good quality pen.
