I'm confused, did Christ die as a vicarious atonement? what does vicarious simply mean? Does it only mean that He died instead of us? That he took our punishment?

Since a sinner's punishment for sin is eternal death (hell), Jesus did not take our punishment, for He was not punished with eternal death.

and more false claims from christians. How typical. This poor fellow is typical and is literally a dying breed. Happily, his sadistic little fantasies will never come true. Christian morality is demonstrably subjective, with each inventing a list of morals they claim their god wants, and yet the poor dears can't show that their god merely exists, much less agrees with them. They also have the problem that they must insist that their god doesn't have to follow these supposedly "objective" morals since they have to invent excuses why it is okay for this god to commit genocide, to kill people for the actions of others, etc. This makes their morality subjective to who someone is. it also shows their morality is little moreo than might equals right

I have only skimmed your series of videos, however, you seem unsurprisingly, to be only considering Christianity and using the Bible as evidence, where in actual fact, the Bible is the claim. There’s just no good reason for the atheist to care what your particular book says. Your religion isn’t special, it’s teachings aren’t special, it looks to the outsider much like many other religions. To the atheist, your God is just one of many that there’s no good evidence for. The beginning and end of it is evidence. We live in an information age, societal religious gatekeeping is now almost impossible (even to the Amish!), which means that religious folk have to deal with a level of incredulousness that would have stunned previous generations. God belief in the ‘western world’ is dropping rapidly and there are two components to this. Firstly, there is, people leaving religion for whatever reason. However, the much greater problem is those that are now growing up with no good reason to believe in the first place. As early indoctrination is such an important component in God belief, having an ever increasing percentage of the population not receiving it, is going to be a long term issue for a number of religions, but the evidence would suggest it’s going to hit Christianity first and possibly hardest.

Thank you for your response. Ron directly addresses your comment at the beginning of the video titled: Universal Knowledge of Jehovah. The video titled: Romans (1: 18-23) also addresses this topic.

@@churchofChrist- Thank you for getting back to me. I've watched the suggested video, it even mentions me by name (well nearly)! I took some time to make a considered comment. However, as you seem to be deleting all further posts by me, no one will know that.

Hello Ron Cosby, I was wondering if you could help me find a very intense Bible study video with scripture references to teach Pentecostals that speaking in tongues is not Biblical and is false. This subject is very important to me as one of my adult children has become almost crazy with this false doctrine. Thank You. I enjoy your lessons. God Bless. T.C. Thank you for your comments and inquiry. Ron has read your note and is going to specifically address your question and do a lesson on this topic next week. We will get it uploaded on the channel for you as soon as possible after that. Have a great day!

God commands chattel slavery in the Old Testament. You must either accept chattel slavery as moral, or reject the Christian God as immoral.

God not only regulated slavery, he commanded it.
