Glad I found your video! I like to splash water droplets over the paint before it dries, wait a minute, then dab the water off and it leaves the pattern behind. Also, using heavy body paint in a thicker application and then using a comb to brush through the paint makes really gorgeous, tightly spaced lines in the paint, I love this technique because there are so many types of combs you can experiment with 😊

If I painted the canvas without gesso and it's finished now, is there anything I can do to preserve it? Could I still varnish it?

These definitely donnot look like skin tones they are super pale and with its just cream at this point the best way i can say is just to mix white and brown and use red or yellow ochre in small proportions if the tone is reddish (use Scarlet red not crimson)or slightly yellow

Use a wet palette to keep your paints from drying out. Simple to make.. use a sponge to make a platform to build your wet palette. Then, cover with baking paper. Now you need a container of your liking. I use a longish Tupperware container. You wet your sponge and squeeze out excess water. Still needs to be wet , but not soaking wet. Now your baking paper will curl some just wait until it relaxes some. Add paint and there you go your paint won't dry out for as long as sponge's are damp.

I have a custom football painting done for me by Ruth Mayer (Google her, she's amazing)... someone was recently moving the large painting and she dropped it and it ripped the canvas down the middle!!! Broke my heart ... anyone have any ideas on how to repair it??? Thanks 😉

I have made several attempts to use this combination even following you as you mix. My first color does not come out into a good brown. In, fact it is grayish. Then when I add the white it becomes a grayish brown. Can’t get to the skin tone you do. What am I doing wrong?
