My three sons have MMA. They’re all three B-12 responsive and have no food restrictions and no need for formula. They weren’t diagnosed until ages 25, 22, and 12.

My GF also has MMA but she doesn't take the protein formula she cant keep it dwn even if she mixx it with orange juice she does take the other stuff like before she sleep...

I have the B12 responsive version, and late onset to boot (diagnosed at 34), but we're trying a bit of XMTVI Maxamum to see if my levels even out-they've been high for the last year now and we seem to think it's just due to getting older (I'm 37.) If not, then it's just going to be higher B12. For my milder version, I have to take about a cup of the formula a day for a month, then we'll test my levels. I've never been on a special diet for it at all, so it's kind of interesting.

I don't think is a treatment, just whatever formula he is on plus a low to no protein diet. Ask your doctor.

@@buff86 Hi bryan, thanks for your response. She has been hemodialysis as her pH level went down. Now she is okay but her sensorium went down( as it has affected her brain) she is opening her eyes often but no leg and hands movement . Need your advise on this
