Now, I'm pretty sure that's one of those "animal sanctuaries" where they are technically taking the animals from people who are giving them up, but they keep them in really tiny cages and not at all what a rescue facility or a zoo would do. There's one near my house in Florida and it's the same deal. It's a real problem. There are tons of these places all over and we need to find a way to warm people to not give their money to these places. They do not treat the animals well. In the one near my house, a bear was just sitting in a very small enclosure holding on to the cage and rubbing his head back and forth across the bars. He had a big bald spot and welt on his whole forehead because he had obviously been doing this for YEARS!! 😱 AND LITERALLY NO ONE CARED.

Thanks for the video. I think you should try challenging yourself and make an updated video based on today's prices. Don't forget to include the bathroom too! 😀

Yeah, I bet! I was also able to make this video years ago so things were a lot different. Hopefully, now this can just be a good guide to help create a budget that could work for you.

will be moving in with my partner and we each already have our own bedroom sets, tvs, desks, mattresses that we can choose from. 🎉 this is going to hopefully save us money so we can splurge a little on kitchen stuff (i love to cook) and decorate to our tastes.

hi ashley!!! Im looking to transfer to uga as well next fall as a sophomore and was wondering if you ended up living in a dorm or finding people to live in an off-campus apartment situation? Thank you❤️
@ashleysonyea Жыл бұрын
Hey, sorry for the late response but my first year I lived on campus and I moved in with someone that I knew from my previous school and the second year I lived off campus and I lived with the same girl, but we did a matchmaking system at our off-campus apartment that matches with roommates that were most like us and a lot of places offer that so you can live with someone who kind of shares your same habits

You can literally get everything for cheaper from Walmart through their online store, and there are so many cheaper options. Had to furnish out a entire 1 bedroom condo this year when I moved to the US, and managed to do everything for $1,932 whilst buying a lot more than what's on your list, over 60+ items. That's including stuff like a washing machine, vacuum cleaner, 20 pan crockery set, kitchen utensils, study desk, couch, dining table basically everything one would need to live (bar a fridge/freezer, that came with the house). Couch for $500? you can get a brand new one from Walmart for $140 if you go cheapest, $200 for a better quality one. TV stand for $150? bought mine for $35 brand new. So many ways to go cheaper and more affordable than this, whilst keeping it somewhat stylish.

Awesome video. And let’s not forget 2nd hand stores!!..At Goodwill and Salvation Army as well as Savers; even $500 can go a Looong way when it comes to household goods.

I know this is late, but for ya'll who won't be moving out until next year, save your coins, make a list of your necessities and wait for holiday sales! I knew I was moving out this year, so last Black Friday, I purchased everything ultra cheap. But there are president's day sales, memorial day, etc.

When you transfer are their any benefits on the cost ? Like would it still be the “same” cost or would the cost be cheaper because you attended a 2 year cc?
@ashleysonyea2 жыл бұрын
The first college I attended wasn't a 2-year college, it was a 4-year college and I left after my sophomore year. In terms of if you pay more that really is up to where you came from and where you are going. Both schools were in-state for me so the tuition was relatively the same, the biggest cost that I had to look out for was my room and board, so that is a big thing to keep in mind! Hope this helps!

It takes me like 600-700max to fully furnish my apartment... and thats if i go full out. I find it weird that people scoff at a $2,000 budget like its supposed to be normal to spend 3-5k on furnishing an apartment with basic furniture. I thrift the hell out of everything besides bedding and stuff that should be hygienically clean. Fb-marketplace, antique stores, stores like ross. And my stuff is nice too, decor and everything. Leather couches and all.

So I am really thinking about moving here. I remember driving past it on my way to Cocoa Beach, FL. It’s very pretty. Some people say it’s boring…I assume because it’s more of a family oriented city…not for singles or people who prefer the limelight. What’s your intake?
@ashleysonyea2 жыл бұрын
Honestly it depends on what you like to do. We enjoyed it however we don’t drink or really go out like that we just kinda chill all the time lol so I can’t speak on the side of life, however it was a nice and clam place where we went!
