TY!! Even after 6 years still very informative. There is a cut-out in the stock right above the screws, but getting the stock off as you show is much easier.

That is the Dewalt 20 volt MAX Tripod work light. It runs on both 20v and 60 volt max batteries. I use it for a lot more than work it's great.

I no longer own this, or I would check, but it was metric. Wish I never sold it. Sold it to a friend, and it's still going strong while my fx has a low side leak. I can't seem to repair

How did you trim out all the foam?

The foam I have came in layers. So I traced out the outline of the tool and used a steak knife. So I would go as many layers as deep as I needed and pulled out the plugs that was needed to be removed. Kinda depends on the foam you get. Hope that helps 👍

I was able to score one of these (which was my 4th shaman 😞). Really interesting, high level steel on my favorite model…whats not to like. I’ve been wondering about the aftermarket scales, myself. Half of me likes to keep most high value knives as stock as possible but the other half is drooling over the possibility of having a stone washed, micarta shaman in 15v to accompany my cruwear and m4 variants.

I faced the same dilemma and finally went with RGT Micarta scales. Had to stick with brown given the BBB heat treat. Glad I did.
