POTENTIAL AWD SETUP CONVERSION MATERIALS!!! (Read more) He said in a previous comment that he won't give away exact details on how to make it work. Crappy thing to do in my opinion. However, I am currently researching on how to make my 2003 Matrix AWD and manual. I already have the TRD supercharger and planning on building the 1ZZ that I have to also accept a turbo. Yes, I plan on twin charging it, so it really needs to be able to lay down the power. So here's what I have so far as research on AWD setups. You will need the following: -E154F transmission from Toyota Celica GT4. -Adapter plate to mount the transmission to your engine (MWR makes these kits, but they are super expensive and you could probably have a machine shop laser cut or water jet one out for you for much cheaper). -3sgte clutch kit with flywheel (any of them will work, the flywheels mount to 1zz and 2zz engines. Just choose one to suit your power level). -E250F transfer case (this transfer case is smaller but can still handle the power. The reason for a smaller transfer case is because the one from the Celica transmission will not clear the 1zz or 2zz block. You cannot shave material off either, you will punch through an internal oil feed. You can find these from 1996-2000 RAV4 and many Lexus vehicles). -Custom front and rear CV axle shafts (you can have someone shave some metal off of the GT4 front and rears to fit into the stock outer CV axle cups if doing this on a budget. Just don't launch the car too hard, or they break). -Celica GT4 prop shaft (you will need to weld tabs to support the bearing to the body). -Celica GT4 rear differential (please make sure the gearing matches your front transfer case, they might be different between years. Most are 4.95 gearing I believe). -AWD rear subframe ( you will have to do a lot of fabrication work to get this to mount to your car. Or you could weld up a box with mounting tabs on the stock torsion beam suspension to be able to house the rear differential. Just make sure the prop shaft can flex with the suspension). -AWD gas tank and straps from a AWD Toyota Matrix (these will fit into a early 2000s Corolla just fine). -Custom exhaust (this is obvious, you need to relocate to fit the prop shaft in there). Hopefully this helps point you in the right direction. I've spent hours talking with people and researching this topic and unlike the creator of this video, I want to share this information. In fact when I start my build, you can bet I'll have videos on here breaking it down step by step. Cheers, -Ian
