I wouldn't expect too much of him this year. All those changes take him way out of his comfort zone. I think he should take this year to adjust and get comfortable in his new home and then next year he will explode.

Blazers have the pieces to surprise and finish top 6 in the West. If most of their guys imrove, they could be good. Scoot, Sharpe, Simons, Deni and Ayton if they all progress can be a solid five

By the way ,you have mentionned Vladislav Goldin from Michigan. May be he is Russian, but Goldin is purely Jewish name, it means son of Golda. How many Russian Goldas did you see?))) So his father ( grandfather) is Jewish and he can easily represent Israel.

Well. Realistically possible players to join Deni in NBA are very probably Ben Saraf, and probably Shon Abaev if he plays well in his rookie (or if required sophomore) seasons in NCAA and Danny Wolf if he's still dominant big after transfer, and maybe Omer Mayer... but it's long shot - he is strong, and in fact he's not really smallish or not-athletic but his size is not great for NBA guard, and he's not most flashy to get a lot attention. Yam Madar was always considered too thin and "not having NBA body" and now he had bad Euroleague season... he also selected in 2nd round by the team which doesn't need him, complicating his possible way to get to league even more, so his chances to get to NBA are diminishing and now probably smaller than those of Mayer. Others... I don't see any chance at all. Turell didn't prove himself as worth NBA roster spot in G-League and I don't see him ever getting chance in NBA, Roman Sorkin as you mentioned is 28 and he probably made his last push to NBA this summer, seemingly didn't get guaranteed proposal and I think decided it will not happen... Noam Yakov... is very nice guard but just too small and player his size should have exceptional physical qualities or do something really exceptional to get to NBA. p.s. It's great that Domantas is now "part of our tribe"... and who knows maybe his son will play in NBA one day and for Israel NT but as he played many years for Lithuania his conversion will not help our NT...

A recent piece about Obi Toppin appeared on Sport Channel 5 in Israel. Although he has a large cross tattooed on his arm, it turns out that his maternal grandmother is Jewish; hence, under the halacha, he is also Jewish. He has even been quoted as saying that if invited, he would consider playing for the Israeli national team.

@@ZamNBA his father is from the Bahamas, Wikipedia mentions a Jewish-Italian mother, and the sports 5 headline Obi's liking of his grandmother's Matzah balls. So tattoos aside, he sure fancies his food like a Jew.
