Hello sir, I was thinking. Can you please do a video explaining how to stir the tractor while backing up a dolly to your rear trailer, since the dolly reacts quickly when u backing. I'll be starting with FedEx in a week. Is it hard doing doubles? Thanks and stay safe out there

Lol, yeah I have to. This new AI system with the cameras picks up a lot. I have already been observed not wearing it once. It's nuts.

FYI, to avoid the beeping of your seat belt, while in the yeard, connect the belt but behind your back. Makes it much easier

@jeffreycairns767 they started using AI tech with the cameras and we were told we have to wear them anytime we are on a FEDEX yard. It kinda sux lol.

@sweetbabymichael That does suck. When I worked for FedEx, I worked for a broker and had a dedicated run which included a complete trailers switch with a Quebec driver. As I was pulling into the switch point, I took off my seat belt but hit a bump which turned the camera on. I got a call from my boss that morning warning me about it. I kinda enjoyed doing that work but I was under alot of pressure for time, the yard were not designed properly, trailers were not dropped properly, loads weren't always ready on time, the winter months SUCKED, etc. At the beginning of your video, you lined up the lead with the dolly and pup trailer in a straight line. Now imagine hooking them up with trailers parked all along the area you used to line it up, all trailers facing you. Now add 100 other drivers also trying to find their trailers and hook up, in darkness. When you have to hook up on a 45° angle because there's no room and nobody can get around, it truly sucked

Ive hauled that 837415 trailer. I worked out of Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada. That was a while ago but that trailer always stood out for some reason

If you drop a trailer on the yard you have to do safety training for 4 to 6 hours hooking and unhooking around the yard. You’re also out of work for one week without pay. You drop it out on the road they fire you.

Guess you learned you shouldn't drive over gators in the road. If you weren't on your phone or tailgating the trucker in front of you, you might of saw it and took evasive manuevers.

Glad I could help you out on the dolly brother just trying to make it easier on a fellow driver. As far is bumping the dolly you can feel the DOT bumper hit the chain hooks.
