The 351/400 m are good on low end torque. Usually ford distributors are opposite rotation to chevy. Usually when there's low compression on a cylinder when an engine's been sitting a while the rings are hung up in the lands. Might want to try a little marvel mystery oil in that cylinder.

Man that sounds good. I got a couple sbf race motors myself. It’s hot as hell in Alabama right now so I’m prob not gonna run them till fall. Had BES do a set of Yates heads and intake for me, we’re gonna see if we can go deep in the 4s with a sbf! Love that falcon man

Speedmaster makes a vortec style lower intake that I think bolts to a weiand upper plenum.
