A code is not law! Numerous supreme court rulings have proven that point over and over and over again! But I understand you work for the for profit corporation called the state of whatever! With no delegation of authority whatsoever over man or his property!

Have you ever heard of deprivation of rights under the color of law, which is a crime when you try to enforce laws made only for governmental employees upon the PUBLIC!

So you enforce codes upon the PUBLIC when in fact only made for governmental employees! What a crook! The codes, rules, regulations, policy and statutes are “not the law.” (Self v. Rhay, 61 Wn 2d 261), They are the law of government for internal regulation, not the law of man, in his separate but equal station and natural state, a sovereign foreign with respect to government generally.)

I am soo very happy to see that this road was done in record time. The road that it connects too (County Road CR121) has rediculously ponding water during thunderstorms due to the severe cupping that is occurring along the road. I have seen quite a few accidents during thunderstorms. Thanks for providing another route for overweight vehicles on our practically non maintained CR121. We have also been told that the overweight CEI trucks and other trucks that are hauling trash to Georgia and damaging our road can not be legally stopped. In the meantime, SR121 which runs parallell to CR121 and starts in MacClenny has almost no truck traffic on it. It also has truck scales and an inspection station on the way to SR121. How do I know that there are virtually no trucks on SR121? I have been on SR-121 many times. We were told that they would be putting more officers on the road as we , the CR121 residents, made it clear that these trucks were breaking MANY laws regarding both speed, passing, etc... I have not seen ONE officer on this road since that meeting. This was the response to that meeting: Good morning, I am following up on my last update from Wednesday regarding vehicle speeds and possible restrictions. All other aspects of the last update are still moving forward as discussed. I met with the County Attorney, the Sheriffs Legal Counsel, and Lt. Mason with the Sheriffs Office to discuss options that could be legally pursued to address the speed and the high volume of truck traffic and enforcement. After the discussion with both legal counsels, there are no vehicle restriction options specifically targeting pass thru traffic in regards to weight or origination and/or destination, that would not result in either difficulties in enforcement or result in litigation from restricting commerce that would be difficult to fight. With that said, we do feel that there is Engineering cause for reducing the posted speed through the segment of CR 121 from the Duval County line from 55 mph down to 45-50 mph. The pavement condition, numerous curves, and lack of paved shoulders are more than enough justification for such an approach. While the main goal is to slow the traffic to a safe speed, a highly possible side effect is reduced traffic volume as well. With higher speed posted truck routes at US 301 and GA 121, many drivers will opt for the fastest route to their destinations. Lowering the speed limit is only useful if there is enforcement. In regards to enforcement, the Sheriffs Office has committed to increase the patrols in this area now and following the proposed reduction in the speed limit. We will also be reaching out to the Florida Highway Patrol to have their help in enforcing the speed limit in this area as well. Please let me know if you have questions. Robert T. Thank you for the feedback. The Sheriff's Office is a separate entity and although we (here at the Board of County Commissioners) can request additional patrol, their office has to determine if they are able to dedicate an officer to sit there for extended periods of time. They are stretched thin like everyone else right now and need their officers available too to respond to calls so it's definitely a juggling act to meet all of the community's needs. I am going to screenshot this message and send it to to Sgt. Renee Graham as she oversees traffic operations. If you want to reach out to her directly to follow up, you can reach her at (904) 548-4028 or via email at [email protected].
