I wish I could read something poorly written, but I can't. It takes me out of the immersion and just stops me from enjoying the plot no matter how interesting it is. This has happened to me quite a few times. I envy my best friend who doesn't seem to be bothered by it. I had to beg her to summarise a book for me because I wanted to read it but just couldn't.

me: oh, ok. Yea, that's normal my brain: but wait, what do you mean cooked? and with what method? Bc blood is made mostly of water(like 90/95% i think? don't remeber) and water's boiling point is 100C, but human bodies are also made of proteins (is that how it's called? i used translator) and their "cooking/boiling"(?) point is like 40/50C? so in theory the body would get cooked before actually boiling, although, if you just took humans blood (let's say human survives) boiled it and then put back inside... 🤔

My history is just me searching for word synonyms which - a small life hack - if you're not sure what a word means, you can search its synonym to get the full context of the word since some words have nuances to them and different meanings - as in wriggling vs wiggling

Oh lord, the day my ao3 is revealed to anyone is the day a gun is brought to my head. I have read filthy - SHAMELESS - smut in school halls and during classes. That bookmark history has stuff ok- it HAS stuff, nevermind the fics I have written, I am thankful I only have written *1* dead dove;do not eat, like that is excusable, but the *BOOKMARKS* god. Even the thought has me wanting to delete my account, abandoning ship (and I still have some drafts I am wanting to publish on an ongoing fic hahah, but it is a sacrifice I can live with)

Litterature is all about style, the story barely matters. If a story is poorly written, I'll go up to 20 pages before throwing the book. It cannot qualify as a "good" story if the style is bad enough to make you quit. If the story is stupidely insignificant but written with an interesting style, then it becomes a good story, I can read the book twice. There's a cute little book by Raymond Queneau called "Les exercices de style", where every chapter is the exact same stupid story that's one-page long, but in a completely different style each time. The story doesn't MATTER if the style is interesting, the characters don't EXIST if the style doesn't make them interesting. Style is litterally the fabric: welcome to litterature.

this is just good money management. You only buy it after you know its good. Thats like buying a bluray of a movie/ show after you watched it pirated online for free to show love and support the creators

A great potential book cannot be saved at all by bad writing. But a bad one and not so good storyline can be saved by good writing every time.
