My second print run First Chapter boxes have 2023 dates on them.. the date doesn’t always correspond to print runs

Really? I could've sworn the reprints hit the shelves in Jan. 2024 but I could be misremembering. Or they did hit the shelves in 2024 and just had 2023 dates? Thank you for the info though. I think I'll keep them locked up anyway...just in case lol.

I could see how a couple of the cards could be a little difficult to understand for newcomers; I’ve had trouble teaching people how Ward and Bodyguard works, and they literally explain it on the card 😅. I also noticed that the standees could be a little disruptive (use the circular ones?), but all and all it looks to be a good product. Also, releasing it now was probably an effort to get new people into the game before Shimmering Skies. Great video, Mac! P.S. Target has been putting some things out earlier than they’re supposed to. Also, I’m left-handed, and draw from the left.

Thank you! I appreciate you commenting and letting me know your thoughts. Overall, I do agree its a great product to get youngsters started. I think what would really make it sell, what would really make it worth its value, is if it had a collectible card in it for the rest of us, like a promo card or whatever the alt art cards thing theyre going to start doing with the Villainous game.

Ah, yeah I knew I'd upset some people with that decision. First prints just seem, to me, more valuable unopened. But, the other box did have First Chapter packs in it, re-prints, that I did open. I understand why you stopped watching though.

6:39 cards are read in Ursula's perspective, so you should've banished one of HER items

I’d be surprised if you pulled an enchanted… They are about 1 per case generally. I’d imagine that if the supplier pulled an enchanted from a booster box, the remaining packs could be set aside for inclusion into these boxes and pretty much guarantee there would be no enchanted in any of them. Also, it has been proven that weighing packs will not indicate an enchanted (as there is not really any difference in weight). This has been tested a couple of times and the vids can be found on KZbin.

Other people have told me similar things about game stores doing things like that that stack the odds against customers. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt though and hope they don't do that. Thanks for the info on weighing packs!

So let's do some math. If we assume neither player draws for turn, the only card to be played is friend like me (and we have infinite ink), we would need 17 activations of FLM to win. that eaves you 29 cards. Now let's assume drawing happens, but the only card to be played is FLM (and infinite ink), and you can only play 1 FLM per turn. ursula "loses" 5 cards per turn from your deck, whereas you lose 4 cards per turn. but if the 2 cards drawn by ursula go into the discard, they make the 5 become 3. (since she refills her deck with her discard). so youre losing 4 cards per turn whereas she loses 3. that leaves you with 12 cards. So i think we have to use friends like me more times per turn (and earlier), than ursula can refill her deck. I think the next time you try you need to play FLM as early as possible, and as frequently as possible instead of bouncing hades back so frequently. maybe use him and gothel to sing FLM more? deckwise i say try it with the same cards. Good try cant wait to see mill round 3

I think you're right about get FLM out earlier. Bouncing Hades just allows me to completely control the board without drawing out of my deck anymore since I'm just recycling him over and over for free while still "milling" what Ursula has in play. I've been experimenting with Gyro Gearloose as a way to also recycle my discard pile back into my deck to slow down my own milling, which I think works well with items I can banish like Pawpsicle and the Magical Golden Flower. Something I recently thought about as well is using Wildcat to banish my own items to make sure Gyro constantly has items in the discard to recycle into my deck. @@MacsIlluminary i think some gyros is a phenomenal idea. giving yourself even more turns will definitely swing the odds in your favor. Mill is one of my favorite win cons. seeing it in pve is interesting

I know most people probably just want packs, and I do enjoy getting packs that I'm not expecting, but I know that what I'm going to get is just packs. I wish it was a bunch of random goodies. Like makeup subscription boxes for example, you don't just get 10 random lipstick colors - it's a random collection of all kinds of things relating to makeup. That said, I think Booster Crate is a great option for a gift or if you just want random packs delivered to your home. The price per pack is comparable to what I've found in my local game stores.
