hi i have a question..I have a soil, It is a MH soil i did Double Hydrometer, Pinhole and crumb test and got intermediate dispersity but i did chemical analysis too and i got low PS around 1.5 - 2.0 % but it is clasified as a saline soil with 8.42 electric conductivity. Could I classify this soil as dispersive with those chemical results?

Which compactive effort was used ? 2) The chart for "Favorable Compaction Zone for Swelling Soils in Field" shows moisture above optimum as the start to minimizing swelling. Should the favorable compaction zone actually start at OMC +2% moisture ? or 5% ? 3) The "Criteria for Classification of Expansive Soils" slide: Is there a source for this ?
