From shore is pretty hard because they tend to be found in deeper water.

Exactly man, the best fishing trip of me and my buddies lives, unforgettable. We hooked onto these grouper on the west side just off the skyway on the north edge of the shipping channel.

It sounds crazy but the sabiki works better than the cast net for greenbacks, the net kills them quick.

In this video we used two different deep diving plugs that we just found on the shelves at Walmart. One was a 25 foot diver, and the bigger one was a 30 foot diver.

We launched from maximo boat ramp, so we didn't have to go underneath. We drove along side it, and once we got to the channel started following it further west.

That was awesome seeing all the fish under water. Now i see why shrimp is bad bait to use at Fort De Soto and the Skyway.😅 at least during these hot summer months. Lots of pinfish, grunts, and undersized Mangrove Snappers everywhere

Yea I love looking back at the underwater footage for the first time, always a surprise on what I catch on video. bait that falls apart easily defiantly isn't the move cause all the small bait, that's true. Squid good though because its more durable.

Tilapia are great 👍 eating when fresh caught and cooked BUT Farm raised Suck big time so if you are going by when you have had them in a restaurant or bought in a store it's a totally different flavor Just try them and you will be hooked "No Pun Intended" But the fillets are white and firm and flaky and a nice thick filet so can be cooked many ways. We usually just do our fish Fry's with tilapia because usually catch them when fishing for specks "crappie" so really good eating
