I love the little area that you're planting. It looks so pretty. I can't wait to see what it looks like as it grows. I've been working on getting all my flowers planted but here in Montana it has been raining quite a bit so I'm planting between storms! Summer is my favorite time of the year. I just love working in my garden. I hope you have a wonderful week and I look forward to your next video... Sharon

Very nice!For a similar structure, when we have on one spot chickens and ducks, we put the chicken coop higher, and ducks love to stay under the coop. Also in winter snow will not go over the floor of the coop.I don see any dog in my country in europe we have alot foxes whites and goldens. coop will protect them from foxes but whites and goldens can go on vertical walls like squerel and make holes in wood for that we always have some small dog to bark and they stay away. Obviosly you don't have that kind of predators there.

Hi Emma, i have just seen this video about installing your Raised Beds, just for future reference once you have the spot for your bed if it's sitting on grass mark around the bed with a spade, move the bed and dig in the bed and turn over the bed area so the grass is face down and the soil facing up, next get your cardboard removing any labels and tape as these will take forever to decompose, then soak the cardboard and start filling up the bed just as you have been doing with grass, food, twigs, small branches etc then your soil/compost give it a good feed a good mix then water it in and you are all done. Hope this information helps you as i have done the same thing with my beds but i added rotten logs in as well because my beds were deeper at 18 inches. Take Care. Barry (UK)
@emmasalaskanhomeАй бұрын
Hi Barry! Thanks for the message. I debating flipping the sod but it was so intertwined with the salmon berries which are extremely invasive and I didn’t want to leave any trace of them as an extra precaution. In my other raised beds on the property I followed your system, used old wood, sticks, mulch and cardboard but this one ended up a bit disorganized. 😂 thanks for tuning into my channel! Where are you located in the UK?

In my 30 years I lived in Alaska and operated a fishing & Hunting services I always wanted to visit Sitka AK . My life was wrecked by the covid travel bans that ended my guide services and I was stranded in Oregon and not even able to come home to Palmer AK. Now more problem is my mother with dementia can't be without me so more time I am stuck here.
@emmasalaskanhome2 ай бұрын
Covid took quite the toll. Thanks for sharing. If you ever make it to sitka we own a family owned fishing charter lodge and would be happy to take you out fishing. You can look us up at Cascade Creek Lodge, fishsitka.com or check us out on KZbin. My husband does all the videos.

@@emmasalaskanhome You might be one of the charters I called in early 2023 asking if needing a boat caption, I am a USCG 25 ton masters license and have been my own fishing & Hunting services since 1978. As of now this country is a wreck in the start of forced communism. If the 2024 election again is rigged and stolen from all of us, we will see the true Horrors of Marxist Communism on all of us. I was operating my tourism services in the Republic of Moldova when the communist party had total control over the country and now, I see the same kind of communism used in the US. I had plans to move back to Alaska after my mother passes away and that could be anytime then sell the home + land for the 1 1/2 million offer I have now but it's looking like moving back to Romania and restarting the tourism services there and restarting the Atlantic Salmon fishing in Irland I was doing and trout fishing in Slovenia on the Saca river system that also has the Danube Hutchen Salmon. I just don't know at this time with all the mess now in the country. My jet boat is 30 feet long with a 500 Hp Chevrolet Big Block so where the price I have to charge a client when they don't want to pay because gas prices are so High? I built and finished a 19' Dory last summer to run a 40 Hp on it for a cheap to run boat and multi-use boat.

I just found the one with the yellow lid, at the thrift store today and brought it home. It didn't come with a box or any paperwork. I came across this video, when trying to look up instructions for this unit. I hope it works! My husband has been using a lot of yogurt to make sourdough bread lately, and I like to eat yogurt, in general. So, I was very happy with the find. And I'm so happy to see this video, too! :)
