That’s an awful take. Harvey Elliot is good enough for Liverpool which means he’s good enough for every other team in the world. First of all it’s a squad game these days snd while we are in this privileged position players are happy to wait for their turn. Look at city over the years. secondly hes better than jones and szobo as certain aspects of the game. Yes he lacks their physicality but as an attacking playmaker they are nowhere near him. He was amazing last season and should have kicked on this season after the first international but injury came at an unlucky time and by the time he came back it’s hard to put a player in with no fitness in high stakes games. Managers tend to stick with tried and trusted. Elliott was just unlucky. Best he can hope for is these appearances give the manager the trust Elliott needs to start playing more games

That's the most insane opinion on Gravenberch I've heard online, and what's worse is that the panel doesn't call it out. Seriously, what the hell. Liverpool are top of the league, top of the Champions League, and Gravenberch has been integral to achieving that. I saw Endo lose the ball under pressure vs Lille, and in that moment, I thought to myself, that would never have happened with Gravenberch. I've seen wonderful forward passes from Gravenberch the past months and amazing defensive contributions. What is the panel even talking about? With Endo and McAllister as a duo, you lack ball-carrying ability, and press resistance drops. I always laugh at these couch coaches who think their tweaks would make the team even better. Go prove it. Coach an amateur side and see how much better you are than the opposition's coaches. If Slot, who has access to an ocean of data, thinks Gravenberch is paramount, while Liverpool are performing the way they are, that is evidence in itself that he is. If Slot was failing while holding on to Gravenberch, then it would be different. Add to that what my own eyes tell me: Gravenberch should start. The way he twists and turns out of pressure situations solves so many potential problems. Problems that the panel thinks are solved better by others, but with Gravenberch, they don't arise in the first place. One last point: I've rarely seen a game where Gravenberch was bad. Maybe the Newcastle game, but not many others. He's been a beacon of consistency. Him being bad for months is an unhinged take.

Typical Englishmentality. Always quick to cast a player aside because he isn't a physical specimen. I'm sure this person talking will say Pedri and Yamal are not good enough to play for Liverpool because they aren't as physically built as Tyler Dibbling. With thismentality sweeping across this country, it's no wonder Englishmanagers are at thebottom of everything.

Harvey like in the middle, not a top top midfield player, or top top forwards like good at both but not expert at either. Absolutely love Harvey as a person but his impact of the bench has been fantastic as impact player. Like a olly at United years ago. If good offer came in and Liverpool could buy better for what’s needed. Decisions to be made

They scored level with ten men and conceded an unfortunate deflection. Stats don't mean anything.
@MrFinbarz22 сағат бұрын
I mean the stats literally do mean something. They are representative of events in the game. Do they tell the whole story no of course not. They help to understand the tone of the game. Objectively Liverpool controlled this game if you watched it, the stats help to back that up. They deserved to win. Could they have lost or drawn? Yes absolutely. Good teams that play well can still lose matches that is the excitement of sport after all.

Disagree on Jones. He shows a good amount of times (yesterday the opposition set up well). Jones has the most accurate passes in the premier league. The only other players in the top 5 are centre backs.

This is far far from over, we have not shown we can run away, we will drop points too, just hope Arsenal will drop more than us. It looks like it’s in our hands it’s not we will rely on them dropping more points if we are to win this league.
@FitzroyGeorge-c4h2 күн бұрын
No top team is going to rely on what some other team is doing. As a matter of fact, no team in no league comes in an says, well we don't have to worry Arsenal they have to play Chelsea and City. So do we. You do your job and what happens well happens. Why in the world should Liverpool be reliant on who beats arsenal or Forest. Win against Everton and that's 9 clear. I think we win every home game.

I'm an Arsenal supporter... You need to take out the rose tinted contact lenses before putting on your rose tinted glasses 😂 I can't see anything other than Liverpool winning the league at this stage but I think they'll drop more points than you're suggesting but they have that buffer to do so. My only hope is that the game at Anfield means something so it can at least go down to the wire, unlikely though.
