Great detailed video 👍. I'm having trouble with mine and doing some tests, I have a red and a blue wired plug, am I correct that the red is the positive trigger wire ?, and should the blue have continuity from the blue wire to the battery negative? Many thanks 👍

in my subaru legacy 93 stay "battery and fluids on" my charger is on 12v not on 14.5v what would be the cause? i check already the fuses, and conectors. but on alternator in "case" gives 12v as well thats really akward. Would you try give me some suggestion what cause would be? i let already in 2 mechanics and they tried to change everything inside but thats not the case. (regulator voltage maybe?) thanks

14:44 I think you got that part wrong. Ends of the windings do connect to the positive side.

Tests showed nothing wrong BUT Amp Clamp showed battery drain 0.34 amps back through alternator. Changed rectifier and no more drain.

Most new cars have the alternator controlled by the ECU. you then need a scan tool to diagnose. It could be the ECU not functioning correctly.
