Another method could be using figure 3-14 in the Greenbook and matching the radius with the speed on the curve, and finding the HSO through that

I just took the Nav Arch PE exam for the first time a few weeks ago and didn't make the cut. When should I start studying again when the exam is only offered once a year? Also, there are only two practice exams for this disapline. Would working problems from textbooks be beneficial? I have ordered over a half dozen books with practice problems related to the topics. I'll have thousands of problems with solutions at my disposal.

@ very correct I studied with my cousin, but he spent more time on his phone than studying. Despite this, he passed the PE Exam while I failed. When I asked how he did it, I found out that he received help from Mr Richard.

I just want you'll to know that if you are out there and you are being really hard on yourself right now for something that has happened ... it's normal. That is what is going to happen to you in life. No one gets through unscathed. We are all going to have a few scratches on us. Please be kind to yourselves and stand up for yourself, please.

This is a really misleading question. The hydrograph is clearly wrong for the area and it would be better in a real world scenario to tell people the truth that statistically they are going to see at least two 100 year storms if the the last three years are statistically viable.

I don’t think sitting in a job trailer at a desk wearing goggles satisfies FAA VLOS unless there’s a window facing towards the job site that if they took off the goggles they could see the UAS

Thank you for sharing your story, Nicole! I am also AuDHD and I'm worried about taking the FE. I have very strong opinions on the NCEES accommodation process. Especially the scheduling process Nicole mentioned. It's AWFUL. Especially considering most Autistic and ADHD people struggle with calling.

I find it hilarious that it took 13 years to reach this conclusion, which has been well-known and documented for much longer than the duration of this research. I passed FE on the first try and took several practice exams. Taking an extended test is like training for a big athletic competition. It would be best if you built up your stamina. I'm afraid I have to disagree with breaking the practice test up, at least over the long term. Breaking it up initially is okay, but I'd recommend building up to simulate the constraints of the actual test. Take the practice exam around the same time you'll be taking it and build up to simulating the actual test duration.

@@mohlkc4606 Nope. The real value comes over the longterm of having it. Your salary over the life of your career will be much more than if you didn't have it. There are a ton of positives but the immediate reward just isn't great. Play the long game.
