been doing usa planes for years on and off and now at 9.3 in the f104 and every game the other team has 5 premium mig21s and i just get out climbed outturned and missle spammed yes i know how to play starfighter properly but ill be 7km up on the outside of the map looking for low energy targets and nope get missile shot at me by mig 21 no flares and cant turn so i just die is so unfun i just dont use it and play f3h

My main is Britain, I've been playing 4-5 years and I'm only just at spitfires

It has taken me about 8 years (most of the time with NO PREMIUM) to grind the following 95% of USA tanks, 65% Planes, 97% Navy. 75% of Germany tanks, 47% Planes, 40% Navy 65% of USSR tanks, 25% planes 40% French tanks

That depends on how much time you invest on the snail and without money spending in the game 1 yrs is the average and the skill you'll receive by not spending money on the snail is really worth it

The long grind time is because the game is focused on play, not grind. If you want to skip the progress, you can for $$$, but the rise to top tier is like the campaign of the game, allowing you to build the skills necessary to actually use the best tanks. Think of it as "dark souls: age of steel"

My original strategy was getting to rank v tanks for every country then making a decision on which nation to main based off of what i liked the most, I chose Italy and it took me like a year to finish it. So I'd say you're spot on.

I got to top tier after playing about 2 years and thats was with the boys on almost every night

Top tier is a waste of time since it’s entirely braindead compared to mid tiers. It plays out like the mindless reserve tiers except everyone can point and click adventure everyone with darts and lrfs etc. Game enjoyment really starts crashing down once you get out of the late WW2/very early Cold War bracket especially when one considers that it used to be top tier back before gaijin became greedy sellouts that didn’t constantly renege their word on so many things with this game making the game into the mess it is today. You’re better off not wasting time to grind to top tier and rather play the game to play the vehicles that are fun. The game gets better when you can make the grinding elements irrelevant.

I remember it takes around a full year to get to top tier with no premium time for the bigger nations

I went for France was hell until 7.7 which I stuck to and got max just under a year here’s some advice don’t play to rank play to have fun try not to look at the numbers

If you are on squadron it take less time because of the vehicles up tp 11.7 then you can grind to tier 5 or 6 I don't remember so you can grind other vehicles

You can go wrong with 3 main nations because one of them is shit , one of them is shit in terms of MBTs , and third is shit in terms of air support. Good luck realising which one is which
