Death Stranding runs on an entirely different engine from MGS' Fox. If you haven't found out which engine it is yet, I won't spoil. You might see a couple of prominent clues as you progress much farther along. 👍

Playway only published UBoat it was not written by them. And even in the early days of UBoat it was much better than this. And Subsim people provided original photos and documents to help with the realism.

Horrible conversation. No fracking attempt to make a sub that matches reality. (google interior of a nuclear sub and get surprised ... or not) And one of these games that tell you "go do this thingy"without actually ever telling where the frack it is. No thanks.

My biggest issue with the game overall is how the GMP and resource inventory was handled. Why do we need two separate inventories for them? As far as I know, there is no way to transfer between them. As such, when (not if) the servers go down, all of the surplus inventory will be permanently locked away. Every deployment can be expensive depending on what you bring. This plays into the extra bases as well. The player will essentially be permanently soft locked out of their own earnings and progress. The game could have been a little more fun with two player co-op, albeit with some missions requiring solo completion before playing together.

About the poppy thing, I speculate the reason why you can't put it on the turtle tanks is because those are _Arctic_ poppies, not sure why they're put on the freshwater tab but who knows. My other speculation is because the tank and the plant are from two separate DLCs, which is why the system hasn't been integrated yet for the tank Also 600 for 2 Red tailed catfish that goes to size _42_ is absolutely a steal lol Thinking about it those catfish fit perfectly on that giant walkway aquarium on the Greek zone

There’s a lot of analysis and theories about what cassette tapes are real and which ones are not… the “truth” tape and all that it suggests… could… not be real… tons of people love Aehab… him existing makes the lore more interesting than just a retcon if given a good deep look… and yet, for those that dislike the “truth”, well… that tape might be fake just like the tape that Snake gets from Paz… Making BB and VS one and the same… There are no facts, only interpretations. 🐍

It only felt like a Metal Gear game in certain moments. I am for one not the biggest fan of Open World Games. I was always more entertained by the straight up movie feel of the series. When others hated the lengthy cut scenes, I absolutely adored them. MGSV was always this mixed bag, this mess really… Kiefer Sutherland‘s presence only makes sense when you find out that he’s not our Snake. And that’s it really, he is not our Snake. But with everything else the game is able to do, it surely can be considered a gaming masterpiece. Just not a METAL GEAR one like the other entries in the franchise. With all that said, I still have much love for this. In certain compartments.

Good review You do know snake in mgsv is a different snake from the earlier games , mgsv snake ( big boss ) and snake og ( solid snake) two different characters , hence different voices.

MGSV is the best tactical espionage game ever created. Even today I no see nothing like that. People: If you enjoy MGSV and you want a close experience to game like this; I recommend Ghost of Tsushima Ghost of Tsushima don't have the same level of deep gameplay; but is the most close (and is a finished game)

The missing chapters are just a ruse. The game was released almost completely as originally intended. Even the replayed missions.

I have no idea where to begin, but this game has a lot of things going on behind the scenes, to this day, people keep making theories about Mgs. IMO this is peak stealth and to this day nothing match the quality, look at star wars outlaws 😂. I love this game, even in it's perpetual incomplete state

there were supposed to be more chapters... 5 , Ive heard that Kojima had said in an interview, instead we got 1 1/2 chapters, mission 51 was supposed to be the end, but Kojima and Konami split before he finished all the things he wanted to do.... hence why missions repeat at the end.... so much potential...

**EDIT** - There is a section where I talk about Episode 51 being fan made. I had been corrected on this before but for some reason it slipped my mind when recording this. Episode 51 wasn't fan made and was in fact released with the collectors edition. But my point still stands about why wasn't it finished and released as playable DLC. Thought I would clear that up in case people notice that and raise eyebrows! 🙂

In terms of mechanics, Metal Gear 5 is the best in the series. Nothing compares to it and the stealth mechanics and how the ways to complete the missions, is the best. But the story can be argued as one of the worst in the series. Personally I don't mind it but still is not the best. With cassette tapes. If it was shown in Yellow then they where an important information but was not fully needed to listen to, all in white where Lore based kind of mostly. But you can play through the entire game without listening to any tapes. Also, you did not mention but not sure if you knew. With escaping the zone for missions, from Chopper, car or running, you could also escape using the containers by fultoning them then holding the button whilst on top and use the container to escape as well haha MGS5 was mostly a filler game which was to fill in the gaps between MGS3 and Peace Walker, to the Metal Gear game for the MSX. the very first, it was to cover as many plot holes and just bridge that gap between them so it comes full circle, and explain why Big boss in MGS4 has no horn, has both his arms, and how in the MSX versions there is 2 big bosses in the first 2 games

I have not forgotten about this playthrough, just been crazy busy with various things in the last week or two and have a weeks holiday next week. But I will 100% be coming back to this and will try and record multiple episodes in one hit very soon.

I totally agree with your assessment! Your vision of a game surrounded by the personal stories and intrigue surrounding individual pilots should be central to the game. Something like Last Train Home's immersion with individuals would be really cool

You can get acidity from plants, way cheaper because they dont need maintenance, so you can remove some RO Machines

You can select more then 1 fish at a time, no need to pull them one by one 😊

Mission 51 cutscene you watched was a part of the collectors edition. That wasn't "Fan-Made". It was cut content.

Dang, those large freshwater tank reminds me of the time I walk over to a similar tank somewhere in a freshwater museum in my country, theres arapaimas in there and oh boy were they HUGE, like, bigger than me, that thing is massive!

Normal mode just isn't the mode to play for any MGS fan. It's just too easy. Made The End look like a retirement home old fart. Hard is the way to go, I'd say. It's the most balanced challenge (and frankly even that is pretty easy after playing MGS1 and 2 and knowing the basic mechanics.
