What do you think about comfort while driving.. I mean - 2003-2007 Hummers had plastic squeaking when they hit 50 mph... After refreshing (6.2 instead of 6.0 engine) did this problem disappear? I'm thinking about buying one... but I still don't know if the overall is worth it. Cool vid, btw
@ChiliStyles2 ай бұрын
Second gen interior is pretty comfy, the leather seats are pretty firm. After about 4 hours constant driving cross country my back hurts a little, other than that very comfy. I get a little squeaks around 70 mph. With the 6.2 and 6 speed trans it cruises nicely at 70mph. For rides less than 4 hrs I have no complaints about comfort. It is not my daily driver though, if it was it would probably be a different story.

There isn't a way to disengage the front drive at all? Weird. I was thinking they just didn't do the electronic side, but I'm sure the hardware is not there to do it.

No, it's 4wd all the time. It's a good design, a 2wd Hummer is kinda pointless but being able to disengage for long drives would help.
@RicardoGonzalez-yz1vpАй бұрын
The all wheel drive is the best, any wheel slippage it engages to keep you safe without having to to lock in the manual 4 wheel drive mode, I drive mine on turnpike and I-95 in pouring rain at 80 mph, and it stays straight and the Toyo M/T’s don’t hydroplane compared to the stock B.F.Goodrich tires, they floated at 70, scary feeling when it starts moving in other lane and you’re not turning the wheel…..lol

Question for you? It seems like most planes are fairly standard in colors. Are you allowed to paint your plan any color you would like or is there a FAA rule against it?
@ChiliStyles4 ай бұрын
Some metal planes it's easier to do. The composites like the Cirrus have to use a special paint so it doesn't get too hot and potentially affect the integrity of the bonds. There are colors available, especially on the newer models. I could re spray it a different color, but for me the cost isn't worth it. I do plan on removing the original decal stripes and installing a new design. As long as I don't put decals on the control surfaces, they don't have to be re balanced.

Your amp is plenty, those jp amps push way more power than advertised. probably the box. the w7 needs alot of airspace. it actually sounded poor in my truck even with a proper amp and tuned right, I got rid of my truck and put it in my hummer and it sounded much better, I have since replaced it though, with 4 W0 15's on a RD 1500/1 The way the ho box is designed with the port is pretty neat

@@ChiliStyles right because I did check the amp dyno on here and they do push out more than what the rating is. I was looking at a JL HD 750/1 but I don’t want to spend more money if my amp is already good. So I guess those guys are just trying to hustle me for my money? Should I look at trying to tune the crossover, gains on the amp myself? Was looking at few videos here and I just got a SMD Distortion tool
@ChiliStyles5 ай бұрын
Maybe work on more tuning, remember if you cross over on the amp run the head unit flat or vise versa. dont cross over and tune the head unit and amp or it will be a mess. Your amp is plenty for that sub and then some even f you had a 13w7. For my set up I do all my tuning on my head unit and leave the amp flat and just run its gain below distortion. When I decided it was time to invest in a backup, handheld VHF Comm radio for my flight bag, I defaulted to the fanciest, Yaesu model, with GPS and VOR navigation. The main reason being, I wanted memory sets with text so I could preset all frequencies for my base airport with logical text names. I wish I had just bought this one and saved $$$. I’ll never use those additional features. Having the headset jacks integrated, rather than cabled dongles, is far more important than text based memories.

I bought this one because I just wanted a com incase I had some kind of issue. I use it alot on ground to get clearances and weather. I dont need any of the other features. Theres an upgraded one now, but in the time ive had this one it still works perfect. The headset jacks are really nice! When you need it quickly, it's easy to plug in instead of looking for some adapter.
