@@claudioobinu9030 I appreciate your opinion! My face was exhaustion from trying to even sell it!!! Haha. Nobody wanted it! Believe it! I moved it over to Atlanta GA (bigger market) before I got any kind of a serious offer. You would be amazed at how many low ball offers I got on this kit. Same price as a StarClassic. People are crazy. These kits are priced crazy. I had 2! Didn’t even shed a lick of regret that I sold it. BUT! That’s what I like and what I want to play. Huge fan of Tama, but these drum companies are trying way to hard it seems. Thanks again for sharing your opinion!

In my mind an expensive kit like that would sell second hand like hot cakes, but I can see people taking advantage and make silly offers! that kind of explains your face bless you! But yeah I feel your pain. I am a Mapex fan but looking at Tama (funny enough on some red-ish finish..like the Red Japanese Sen Burst that looks amazing) considering that it would appear that Mapex is deliberately trying to sabotage themselves! but yeah great to hear no leak of remorse bud! that would have been painful

Not sure why but even when tampering with the gain and volume level the sound is very low quality when recording on the phone and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong

@@just_1_bit638 make sure that your Cable is TRS and that you are grabbing audio from a main output. Ie: headphone out or main output (Left using a single cable). If you have a cable that is 2 mono to 1 TRS, you can run output L and R. Other than that, I would troubleshoot and do test runs with the built-in phone video.

@ yes give that a try. Like I said, if you have 1 cable you can come out the left side of the main output. Or if you have the splitter cable you can do both outputs.

@ yes just make sure the single end of that splitter cable is TRS Stereo (2 black lines on plug)

Very similar I have always used vic firth I started with American classic 5a my hands are to small so I tried 7a and felt a lot better but they were breaking to easy so I now use vic firth’s new terra line

@SamSmallwood-z3c that’s a very perfectly priced stick too! They cost less than the normal price of a pair of sticks. Which is absolutely out of control now! 15-20 bucks for 1 pair!! What if it breaks on the 1st song of a set!?!? It’s not like these companies can warranty a drum stick! Ridiculous!! 😂😂

mine was working perfectly fine with my iphone 14....i upgraded to the iphone 16 which i had to get the new adapter which is the usb-c but now it sounds like garbage and i've kept all of the settings the same. not sure how to fix this problem and i know its not the adapter because i tested using it without the irig 2 and it was perfectly fine. anyone else experiencing this issue???

Have you received any feedback or information regarding the amount of amplification / power that comes out of a headphone jack? For example the juice the headphones need to be amplified to work. I’ve always wondered about that, if it’s harmful to use going into various sources, since it’s specifically made for headphone/ amplification. Thx

@ no they don’t. There is a headphone out on the unit for real time monitoring. No extra power needed.

@@BrianDaggett just so we’re clear I am talking about your desktop unit and or your rack unit. Using the headphone out as a line out. That was my question since it does carry a charge, to amplify headphones of any kind. Was not referring to the irig itself.

@ sorry. Yes! But it will not power a microphone that requires phantom power. For that you would need the Irig pre. That unit has built-in phantom power. But to capture audio from the DAW I just go headphone out into the Irig with no problems.

What do you do when randomly it stops bypassing the microphone in your phone? I been recording fine and tonight this thing won’t work, it’s acknowledging the lighting adapter into my phone but when I record a video the phone mic is picking up sound rather than having the sound go through the Irig into the phone directly
