So many things I love about this boat but I’m not a fan of how you have to mount the transducer off the back. That was practically a deal killer with me.

There needs to be a angled bow mount for the motor. A lower type box for the back made, so the seat can swivel. A 2 o3 drawer box under the seat for storage. Definitely a better system for a transducer. The arm over the side is too flimsey for those bigger transducers. Also the behind the kayak mount comes out of the water if too much weight is in the front of the boat.

We do make our bow mount bracket so you can angle the motor.

Can't kayak tournament fish in a boat. Also boats have too much main and are much,much more expensive.

@Steve16346 a jon boat is lighter.....gets same places for way less money than all them....that so called kayak is a ridiculous beast of a creation.you can't fish a jet ski tournament either so realy what's the point there....its just ridiculous in my opinion....2 sonar 2 motors thats 1000s. Gotta trailer it....just seems kind of silly.at that point is it realy a kayak anymore?

It’s all what your into. I’ve seen guys blow crazy money in a Jon boat and guys say buy a bass boat. But there’s more to offer tournament wise in the kayaks From local to national events. Plus maintenance is way cheaper. We own all three Kayak Jon boat, and a Bass boat.

Dude thank you for this. Cuz motorguide just got bought out they the only ones that make kayak short shafts on xi3 and spot lock type motors. They make a 36 inch one just for kayaks. No one else does. So i really wanted a nice minn kita with bluetooth and spot lock for my new yak…..but before i bought one im thinking “they dont offer a short shaft….surely it cant be that hard to shorten it”. Then i started researching and found your video. So thank you man.

You will have to get power poles quick release plate. But you can drill new holes in the mount.
