I like the trees and the sidewalk on both sides, unfortunately, , in much of the villages there are no sidewalks.

Just curious, why are you thinking of moving away from the lofts? Is there a big disadvantage or are you thinking of a large advantage of moving somewhere else? I sometimes analyze when I’m moving.

I was thinking of moving into the lofts because living in even my small house is too big for me and too much maintenance. A friend of mine was recommending celebration, but I think the city of Orlando around it is very busy to drive around and stressful. Have you checked out some of the small towns north of Orlando. There is a commuter rail that goes and stops at some of the small towns.

I always wonder why apartments and houses have two sinks in the same bathroom. Even if you’re two people, would you really brush your teeth together? For me, it’s just another sink to clean that’s not needed

Honestly I love them as they are, I would not tear down and rebuild unless it was in bad shape. It makes it affordable for me. Quaint neighborhood as is.

I don’t know the beginning of your story, so did you go down there to rent an apartment? Or just renting until you found something to buy? Are all apartment leases one year? I would hate that because my luck I would find my dream house at a cheap price and wouldn’t be able to get out of my lease.

My sentiments exactly! It has always been a question I have here but I suspect they have alot of visitors or that’s just what they are used to. Me- I like apartment living… after owning a home alone for 20 years the last thing I want is all that to take care of again.

@@alexandraoflorida8180 i suspect a lot of these people have downsized considerably already. They likely are in a position where they’re able to hire housekeepers, etc, I hate the little places down south that are piled one on top of the other. The only thing I like about the smaller places are the fences. All the houses seem to look alike. Honestly, it’s all I would need and would likely be very happy with one of them.

You do realize the song they're playing is over 50 years old? So, doing the math, if you were 18 in 1968 (when it was released) that would make you 73 today. Pretty sure that puts it squarely in the demo for the villages (between 55 and dead). The guy that wrote this song has been dead for over 50 years?? I live in the villages, I love Jimi Hendrix but even I don't want to listen to music this old anymore. Time to stay home and listen to wax recordings on the Victrola.
