Is the serratus anterior also involved in the upward rotation of the scapular? So if one scapular is higher than the other, it’s a combination of upper and lower trapezius and the serratus anterior?

Do I understand it correctly: all the three triceps extension exercises in the video are the example of the 1st class lever, and the triceps is at disadvantage? Thank you!
@VanessaYingling

Typically our joints are always 3rd class lever systems which puts them at a mechanical disadvantage.

Placing sEMG electrodes on the belly of a fusiform muscle is not accepted anymore, placing them on the motor unit (innervation zone) makes great noise and results small amplitudes. "Indeed, in this case, signals generated by action potentials traveling toward one tendon are subtracted from similar signals generated by action potentials traveling in the opposite direction, with a resulting output that is small and noisy and often close to zero. " I recommend you a book to look at: Atlas of Muscle Innervation Zones Understanding Surface Electromyography and Its Applications by Marco Barbero, Roberto Merletti, Alberto Rainoldi, 2012.

What is the chief lateral and medial rotator of hip joint???
@VanessaYingling
@VanessaYingling 3 жыл бұрын
Lateral Rotators (there are the 6 little muscles plus the Gluteus Maximus) Medial Rotators (gluteus min and med can do both depending on attachment) TFL can also contribute.
