Been there .. lived in alaska in 1992 1993.……first time I went far far from home has a young woman 👠 go to work for 3 months stayed a year. Loved it.

I miss Alaska!! I had the privilege of doing a summer internship at the Kenai Wildlife Refuge when I was in college and it was such a beautiful place.

@@BenjaminHiggins it was only supposed to be a three month internship, but I loved Alaska so much that I ended up staying for 10 years. I’m only back in the lower 48 because that’s where all my family is and my mom is getting older. I definitely hope to move back to Alaska someday.

Is the vessel "Western Challenger" in Petersburg?. I understand that ship was originally U S Navy YMS 111. My father served on the YMS 111 in WW2.

+gqjohnny I am not sure if that vessel is in Petersburg but I do know we have some fishing vessels that were bought by the navy and then used in WW2. So it could be here
