Great video and shots of the town I grew up in. A fantastic venue for street photography. So diverse. However, I haven't been there for many years and you've highlighted how recent councils have allowed the town to deteriorate. Thanks for bringing back some good memories

I don't get the low profile thing some photographers said from wanting a small lens, I mean if it's not a pancake lens and phone size overall package, people still going to notice you have a camera and not a phone, it's just a psychological thing on the photographer side of mindset that they think they are unnoticeable which isn't the case, I think what make a different is the weight, other than that, people going to see you have a camera, maybe at best they feel less in the face with a pancake lens compare to giant zoom lens but these FF f2 primes are big as well, hence nothing unnoticeable there from a non photographer person perspective, hence just get a lens that is as much quality and good to hold or just use a small one in one or P&S or a phone isn't it?

Reggies Portra, Kodak Vision3 250D and especially Kodak Ultramax 400 are some of my favorites. I HATE post processing and I love just shooting and keeping what pics I like. Another thing I think recipes gives me, is that when I go somewhere and use just one or two recipes, it adds a connection between the photos (same recipe/looks) that adds to the storytelling. People should do how they prefer but unless I sometime get a monochromatic camera, I really find it hard to imagine that I'll ever stop just shooting .jpg with baked-in recipes using some Fujifilm camera! Nice video BTW and I'm going to try both recipes you used!
@GertjanVanVooren21 күн бұрын
Hi, thanks for your input! I'll try those out as well, good suggestion! It is indeed hard to step away from the baked-in jpg. The process is so easy and straightforward!

Curious to know: What's your recommendation for a real camera?
@fincrattanaka463321 күн бұрын
@@GertjanVanVooren If APSC, Pentax K series and GRIII, the K series is very old but still have good high sensitivity and excellent lens, but the focus performance is slightly behind. Sony A6000 series, with its excellent lens set and low price, is suitable for entry-level and intermediate photography enthusiasts. Nikon D7000 series, with its cheap F-mount lens set, excellent quality and excellent focus. In full-frame, Sony A7 series is still very competitive even with the first A7. E-mount has the richest lens lineup among all photography systems and is almost always the cheapest. Nikon's Z series. The downside is the slightly high price.
@fincrattanaka463321 күн бұрын
And the prices of the series I talked about above are almost all lower than Fujifilm's models of the same era, including lenses and bodies. Then on the contrary, it has better picture quality, better body performance, and cheaper price. This is true for every device of its generation. Even M43 series surpasses Fujifilm's entire APSC series. The M43 has a complete lens group and is suitable for photographers of all stages. And in addition to the latest models GH7 and G9II. You can find pretty cheap bodies and lenses on the market. This is what I mean when I say Fuji is a toy, whether it is the body and lens, price or performance. Every product of the same generation is uncompetitive.
@fincrattanaka463321 күн бұрын
I must add one more thing. In terms of appearance and size, the X100IV does not have any advantages. As far as I know, A7C A7CII A7CR RX1R RX1RII LEICA Q GRIII ZFC are all models that surpass the X100VI in size, portability and performance. You can think that the X100 series has A very compact lens with an aperture of 35MMF2. Similarly, it is not the only choice. Sony has 28 2.0, SAMYANG35 2.8 M43 and many fixed-focus lenses that have the advantage of being portable. GRII surpasses X100VI in every aspect. Sorry I even forgot about the one inch Sony RX100 series.CANON G7 series panasonic LX100

Thank you, very helpful. I have a 7Artisans 25mm f/1.8 which really isn't bad, but I dislike the "Clickless" aperature ring. I've decided to sell it and I've ordered the 25mm f/1.7 Pergear. 37.5mm is a very useful APS-C prime, and the Pergear checks a lot of boxes (love it's short focus distance). The only real negative that I have heard about is low contrast I will be usinging it with a hood which should help.

Interesting video man, I Couldn't agree more with the social media part being sooooo different than actual reality. If people posted the actual situations in their lives on socials probably it would be a little depressing. I guess the right way is a balance in between the two. Anyway I would consider myself an extrovert in a group of introverts. I mean I don't really consider myself an extrovert, to the point that if I go to a party I quickly spark up a conversation with 20 strangers but I can easily manage speaking to people even strangers especially smaller groups like 2 to 3 people.

@6:25, The first sensor pixel layout shown you mis-labelled as "Bayer" is actually the X-Trans Pattern, for the second the reverse is true. My son has this camera, his skill and natural artistic flair would blow you away. it's not the camera its the photographer behind the camera that makes an image.

I bought this camera back in 2011. It was pretty expensive and not available in stores here in Switzerland, so I had to buy it online. The 3d screen was amazing, much better than the one of the Nintendo 3ds. I used to watch the 3d files using the mode where the 2 images are being displayed side by side and you have to kind of "cross your eyes" - it takes a bit of training and shouldn't be done for too long (it's not particuarly good for your eyes...), but it does work. I even bought a third-party-gadget that you could put onto the w3 to make it macro-able. It was my first camera and made me curious about photography. The 3d effect wears off quickly IMHO and there never were really any alternatives to the built-in display to watch the images. But I went out with this little thing and made a lot of pictures and it became a hobby. Not because of the 3d but photography in general. In 2014 I bought the Nikon D7000 and in 2015 I sold it and bought the D750 which I still use today.
