Hopefully will be back here 10 yrs later and all props are gone. Todays technology should be only jet engine and its time someone begins to work on a pulsar plasma engine. 1 terawatt battery pack can take the ship to the moon. 2085 maybe

You know the engineers have been forced into an untenable corner when the planes can't even be painted sufficient enough to block light from permeating the body, because of weight considerations. Insanity. The rulemakers are psychotic?

Hi DumbledoreMcCracken. That's not a general problem I think. There are ultralights having more than 190 kg payload - but they are covered and slow (e. g. the Comco Ikarus C42). Todays buyers seem to have unlimited money and want "sexy" ultralights with a lot of heavy extras, more speed and a fiber-outfit. But the more speed an ultralight has, the more the structure has to resist. Maybe the problem will be solved in Germany by the planned uplifting of the ultralight's MTOW (Maximum Take-Off Weight) to 600 kg soon? There was a panel discussion concerning that theme at the AERO, see my link in the description of the video.

Hello Mike, thank you for the compliment. If you want more information concerning the engines please have a look at their websites. You will find them on the sheets shown in the video near by the showed engines.

I can't believe it, I just can't believe it! At the end we're before electric planes! I have an eternal question in regard to this subject about the so called "green" planet. How much energy do we need to spend in building/manufacturing electric bateries or cells? It is not much more polluting a battery, than the fossil fuel combustion? As far as I understand, batteries need much more energy than that they are capable to produce and batteries are much more polluting but smog produced by fuel engines. Am I right? If so, why so much riot?

Well, that could be one of the reasons for the low subscription rate. Next time, less wandering around and more focus on brunettes. Asking for their names won't hurt either , mybe you even get lucky.

You are wellcome. I have seen several electric aircrafts there. Now even Siemens is working on them. But most (all?) of them seem to be for local usage only - they are still limited by their batteries (esp. costs, engine run-time and charging duration) in practice.
