the original pleasant company bitty baby dolls were never meant to sit actually, they were never suppose to be in a highchair either, they came as newborn babies as you have the "our new baby" doll that you weighted, its meant to fit in the carrier and basket cradle

the blond ideal doll is "rub a dub dolly" the gimic is the doll is bathable and waterproof, as the commercial went "shes fun in the tub and fun in the pool!"

@ Just an update, I have spoke with 2 different companies that say they can restring her, but the asking price is $60.00 to $70.00 dollars plus shipping. That’s a bit much for me, so the hunt continues.

I always hate how the thrift dolls hair are always damaged. I’m also an American girl doll hunter. I haven’t seen any at thrift stores. I also found a porcelain doll at thrift store for only $3.50. Do you like porcelain dolls? If not, I use them for Halloween decorations.

2:20 Dolls like this always make me wonder what could've happened to them. Missing a hand is one thing (happened to me as a kid all the time, especially with fashion dolls that you had to take the hands off of to dress) but no legs?? Where did they go?? Strange to think they're out there somewhere, separated from the doll.
