Attitudes like the singer and writer of the song who feel it is okay to mock and defame 7.5 million people named Karen and 7-10 million more Karen ethnic people through their egotistical, entitled, racist, mysogynostic, and bigotted abuse of our name and identity because they feel entitled to do so only exhibits the very attitudes the singer/speaker wants to mock. Additionally, because of the bigotted attitudes of those who abuse our name and identity, some of us have experienced not only harassment up to death threats even by strangers (one person named Karen had a stalker who threatened to murder her 'only because your parents named you Karen', and in the message described what she was wearing that night), but also hostile work place environments (from co-workers, employers, and/or customers), employment discrimination where people named Karen are looked over for employment because of their name, housing discrimination where apartments are available until the landlord reads Karen's name and suddenly decides there are 'no units available', medical discrimination (this seems to be a significant and growing world-wide problem) even to the point that one Karen, who had recently discussed with her doctor disparagement by his staff against her including appointments being cancelled without notice, the receptionist following Karen to the parking lot to argue over the cancelation, and the office manager laughing and telling Karen, 'it is funny that Karen is calling to speak to the manager" about the situation, yet the doctor chose to refuse medical treatment for Karen and told her, "Coughing up blood is normal for you". There have also been some harms against the Karen people including that one school district tried to remove Karen as an ethnicity from its registration forms because parents didn't want "Karen" to be recognized as an ethnicity; they didn't want thier children going to school with anyone identified as "Karen". It is my understanding that you claim to be Christian. As such, you should not seek to harm innocent people. You should not intentionally defame the reputations of over 7 million people named Karen. Shame on you. Read Matthew 7: 1-12, which includes the Golden Rule. Think about how you would feel if it were your daughter, mother, wife, sister, son, father, brother, (yes there are men named Karen: it is an honored masculine name in some countries) etc. Were the one's who were being harmed by name-based prejudice. How would you feel if your 6-year-old daughter came home in tears because of class bullying of her name, or even a class assignment where the teacher requires 'Karen' to be the antagonistic, as a common occurance? Karenismyname .org has an empathy generator page where a person can substitute their own name, the name of another person, or the name of an ethnicity (such as Karen is), to experience the visceral reaction to having such vile and bigotted comments made using their own name. It causes a phyicaly and psychological reaction when society nakes the attack personal. Check it out to see. I don't know how old this song is, but I do know it and your singing it very recently caused harm to a person named Karen who was using your concert as a means of escape and as a diversion against pain and stress. Her husband has been in ICU for days and he told her to go to your concert they planned to attend together. Your humor was working until the point that instead your "Karen Song" amplified the pain. Even in place where she should have been in constant laughter, she - Karen - felt attacked. No, this wasn't me.she reported that what made it worse was that the audience was told there was no need yo contact you over your bigotry. You felt entitled to belittle others. Shame on you. Please consider how bigotry against "Karen" harms those who are actually Karen.

Our daughter Karen went to one of your concerts last night in Washington. You sang that song her name is Karen she was very offended by it she's going through a hard time her husband is in the hospital. Her and her husband had brought tickets to your concert and he told her to go she needed a break from being in the hospital with him😢 she said the concert was really good up until that point. I would hope you would be more sensitive to people especially names. That is not a funny song to people with the name Karen.
