Hi, I’ve been trying to figure out where the actual drain tube opening is at on top of the sunroof. I would like to check and see if mine are blocked open. I can see you pouring water in the top toward the front of each sunroof, but where exactly is the opening?

Hi. Just watched your video and also another showingthe same fix. BUT....the other video connected the two wires into the loom and the ground the other way around! So which is correct?....yours or theirs......or does it not matter??

Brillant. Also the Relais send the 12 v to the brown plug with the 1 Red /brown wire on the right next to it from there It goes to the starter this wire was broken in my case.

In case anyone is still watching this in 2025 using one of these welders, the reel should feed from the bottom not the top. If you feed from the top it not turn as freely and make the feed worse.

Same though I had and will be doing get all the dust one time

Got exactly the same issue , can't move the hub at all , removed two studs and tried the two bolts trick , that hasn't moved it either so now plenty of heat and some brute force , hope I get the same result as you .

I have a amall garden fountain pump I was gonna try.....By covering the pump intake with a fine mesh brass screen filter & hanging the pump intake up high in the solution. So it's not trying to suck up dirt from the tank bottom. Then point the pump hose directly at the part. So it's constantly spraying the part while submerged. Or cap the output hose end & drill several small holes in the hose. So the water sprays out in all directions.

A split charge relay won't charge a lithium battery properly, you need a proper dc to dc charger

The problem I have experienced with the "Ring" version of those power packs is that the lithium battery inside doesn't last long, and if you don't keep it constantly charged it will be toast in no time at all, just thought I'd mention that, hopefully the Halfords version is more reliable and better quality.

It looks like it’s working fine so all well and good but if you have any problems in the future it’s best to mount the heater pump close to the vehicle fuel filter. All pumps push easier than they suck. Also it’s best to mount the heater pump at an angle of 30 to 45 degrees so that the air bubbles can rise and escape from the pump.

I found this video very useful, so many thanks for making it, because I'm about to tackle that very job on my 1972 Spitfire IV. But I would like to remind other viewers that metric and imperial (i.e. UNF threads) spanner sizes (across flats of hexagon) are NOT the same. Almost everything on a Spitfire is UNF, british cars did not go metric until much later. For example, on the Spitfire in this video the 4 bolts attaching each half shaft to the output flange on the diff are 3/8" diameter, and use a spanner that's 9/16" (.562") across the flats. A 14mm spanner as used in the video will be a very tight fit, and unless the nut and bolt is incredibly rust, or your spanner jaws have been spread by constant misuse, you might not be able to get that spanner on them at all. Equally, a 13mm spanner is not the same size as a 1/2" AF spanner, it's a sloppy fit on a 5/16" diameter bolt and it will round off the corners of the hexagon head or suddenly slip off and you'll injure your hand. If you want to work on british cars from the 1950s to 1970s, it's cheap and easy. All you have to do is take yourself to almost any local autojumble where you'll be able to pick up a full set of decent A/F spanners for next to nothing, the seller will probably be glad to get rid of them for a song. Go for a top brand like Britool, Elora or Williams Superslim, their products were well made from top quality steel, and in my lifetime of being being a professional motor mechanic I have NEVER worn one out.
