Do you not get phasing having the speakers pointing inwards plus delay the outer subs which you then will get cleaner, louder non power ally ? VoiD point source always look good like Tony Andrews speakers but if I was choosing good sound I would have stuck with the Martin Audio. Very cool set up though. Enjoy mate, that's the most important thing 😎

Hello mate, thanks so much for your video. Curious because in this one you mention you prefer the power alley situation from left/right subwoofer configurations - would you be able to explain your thoughts on this in more detail? Thanks!!

1:50 Did you ever do measurements that could verify what we found on the Denon DJ Prime player regarding frequency response, distortion harmonics, and impulse amplitude oscillation? 7:40 I wish more sound techs had that philosophy.

5:49 The important part... the mixer. You have the third CDJ connected to the submix? I still have yet to find anyone who can tolerate the MP2015 headphone jack turned up to max on a properly-wired headphone. The DJs who complain are dummies or liars or using a badly-wired stick headphone. You're just giving them what they want, but they're wrong.

Laurin - great presentation and you spoke English very well. Question on sound quality and not loudness, which one is better - KV2 SL412 or the Void Incubus? Cheers.

Jeez 10x18s for the main dance floor, and here i thought id be able to get away with 4x18s in our small club with 200 to 300 capacity.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful looking, horrible sounding all of these horn systems are more about power and presence than anything approaching quality sound. We are creating a generation of people with hearing and listening problems. They are lower in upper-mid nastiness than some of the cheaper horn or related systems out there. However, event their best in 2021-2022 does not compare, or come close to high fidelity. They are still very harsh, fatiguing and having all sorts of issues compared to a great non-horn loaded or related system. Anyone who has listened to all of the best, even some of the hybrids like L-Acoustics, D&B and others blow away Function One's best. Like most of the stuff out there based on horns, these systems need help if we are to have anything approaching great fidelity that does not leave your ears and soul hurting.

Amazing rig, it makes me a bit scared of losing control over my bowels, it's like a military sonic weapon to control riots ha ha. Please make more videos for us peasants, I just love the technical detail you get into especially your first video of the old club you started working at, such amazing insight into what it takes to look after a clubs sound system. I have some 8" MK1 KRK monitors I produce with at home. I occasionally use them for social gatherings at my house but I don't want to blow a tweeter and I know they are just meant for reference only. I was looking at a second hand pair of F101 Funktion one speakers that I could use for producing and throwing a bit of a party at my house. I have also seen the F88 model. In your opinion what would be the better choice for my needs? Or is you have any other recommendations. PS: If you ever make it to South Africa there is a club in Johannesburg my friends own, they have a fantastic void system in there that sounds incredible, its called "&". PPS: your english is better than mine and only speak English.
@willpolr2 жыл бұрын
I can recommend getting a sub with whatever monitors you use to produce mate. Best of both worlds for work and social gatherings. Monitors without a sun are like tea without milk. Just plain wrong.
